Here are some pictures of my recently started bird collection. It's rather small compared to most of the other collections nicely displayed on this site, but I'm working on it! I'm still interested in obtaining an Elephant Bird or Moa figure, so if you have one, or know of someone who does, please feel free to contact me privately if you like.

Excellent collection!

As for a Moa, the one figure that springs to mind is the Yowies Moa. It's not great and rather small, but still nice. In fact, there's a number of exotic extinct birds among the Yowies Lost Kingdom line that might interest you.

Thank you for the information! I will look into it immediately!

Nice collection! I like the extant birds! Hope you can get your Moa soon

Nice collection!  Seeing the species in it made me wonder if you know of the Beasts of the Mesozoic line?

 :D That's a nice collecting concept!
I would highly recommend Sean Cooper's Moa. It's a one piece model and not too expensive.

It's nice to see this many feathers in a collection :)
Inevitably, underlying instabilities begin to appear.

This is a great collecting concept! I admire themed collections; they reveal a level of restraint that I do not possess :)

It's a shame the posture on those Moas is outdated. It'd be great to see CollectA or somebody release an accurate one.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind words and help with my collection. Thanks to you, I am now three new figures richer! I got my MOA!

This postures are similar to other extant big ratites, so please PM the source of that accurate posture. Thank you.

Since your user name is an enantiornithine, it might interest you to know that there are a few of those available as figures:

Alexornis (Walking with Dinosaurs by Vivid)   Nanantius (Yowie Lost Kingdoms)        Confuciusornis (Dinosaur Train)

I don't have any to offer, but they're out there! And forum member Jetoar has recently started producing an Iberomesornis:

I've sent some images in a PM. The posture would have been horizontal, with the back sloping down rather than up, which is actually closer to modern ratites like the kiwi and emu:

The lower two models seen above in the thread, in particular, appear to be based on the common moa reconstructions from the 19th century, which have since been considered incorrect.

Your collection inspired me in part to come out of lurking. I love it. I have a similar collection, and as it seems we share a number of figures, though mine has more raptors and corvids, and yours has more phorusrhacids and ratites. (Not to say that I wouldn't get a couple of those phorusrhacids if I found them at good prices.)

I notice you have the Schleich griffon vulture, which is my personal favorite dinosaur toy. It's a magnificent beast, and the feather detail is gorgeous.

cool and interesting collection.

Thanks all for the great recommendations! I picked up Alexornis this morning, plus a few others. I really like the Iberomesornis figure! I wish there were more Mesozoic bird models!  Maybe in the future. I will post my new acquisitions later this month. Thanks again!
