avatar_AcroSauroTaurus @AcroSauroTaurus I congratulate you for two things for your birthday and for your new and beautiful figures of various dinosaur brands, including the fabulous styracosaurus of Jurassic World.

I hope that one day a company like Nanmu Studio for example or Rebor commercialize Godzilla figures or similar creatures of these entertainment films and even make figures of dinosaurs and animals evolved from the prehistoric of the Skull Island of the movie of King Kong and the written work, it would be great. After the purchase of Rebor's vastatosaurus (although they call it tyrannosaurus rex the two color versions) and the order of the Indominus rex and the indoraptor of Nanmu Studio on eBay, I am becoming fond of fictional monsters.

My congratulations avatar_AcroSauroTaurus @AcroSauroTaurus  for your good taste in the choice of figures and for delighting us with your magnificent collection.

Very nice birthday gifts. Such a wide variety. Nice collecton you have going there. I still ask my wife for dinosaur gifts lol. Always get the side wide look. Wish I could've filmed  her when she saw the PNSO Ceratosaurus on the coffee table. This is Nick our new son. Not amused lol

ITdactyl

 ;D

JW Tapejara is weirdness in a box.  'Looks like a plucked turkey with comic eyes, chubby baby legs and atrophied arms... and yet... I want it.

Nice catch.

PhilSauria

Same ITdactyl - it's weird but also weirdly appealing. I think Safari and Dinostar made a couple of great Tapejaras but I still want to get hold of one of these.

Over the years I have amassed quite a flock of Pterosaurs and if nothing else Mattel's JW range has provided more new Pterosaurs than we've had for a while, even if in my mind I tend to classify them a bit more as movie merch than paleo figures - they still share shelf space in my study with the latter however.

Funny thing is, neither the JW or Safari "Tapejara" are actually Tapejara, they're Tupandactylus. ;) And at first I didn't intend on getting the JW one as I was happy with the Safari Tupandactylus, but I don't have many pterosaurs in my collection, so I thought why not...

Tapejara or tupandactylus is a figure of that essential pterosaur in collecting. Equals in genius to Dinostar or Safari, and although I'm a fan of both brands mentioned this third figure of JW tapejara is a nice and fresh figure in the toy market. Its strange crest makes it a very coveted figure for any collector among whom I find myself.

Yep, quite right - I used to know this stuff! Haven't dipped into either of the two Pterosaur books I have on the shelf for some time - too many interests to focus on any one for too long I'm afraid, though paleo figure collecting does continue despite whatever else has my attention at any given time.

Thanks for the clarification.

Finally able to set up my shelves in the new house,(my family moved since the last collection pictures(with the green wall) were taken.) so I figured I'd show my new set-up.

AcroSauroTaurus your collection is very varied. I love all your figures. Although I am not a fan of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals JW / JP I think their dinosaurs are very successful figures. I located the JW concavenator in a gift shop and sincerely I was tempted to buy it. Maybe I regret over the years for not having bought it in his day.

Quite a variety, some real treasures in there. I see your shelves are as claustrophobic as mine...

It used to be even more crowded, until I got rid of the generic china figures I had. I also sorted through my collection and have a big box full of figures I intend on selling.
