Yeah, it's very strange that CollectA hasn't made any sort of dromaeosaurs yet (expect for that 'velociraptor' from the dark ages)

In addition to that Jurassic Park Velociraptor rip-off, CollectA has also made these dromaeosaurid figures:

Velociraptor: http://dinotoyblog.com/2010/08/16/velociraptor-deluxeprocon-collecta/

Utahraptor: http://dinotoyblog.com/2015/04/09/utahraptor-collecta/

And a mini Velociraptor for one of their mini dinosaur sets.  I think all of CollectA's dromaeosaurid figures aren't close to how these animals would've looked in life.

There's one tiny little thing about the Kronosaurus...it bears a much stronger resemblance to Liopleurodon ferox than any species of Kronosaurus.Given how many very close relatives CollectA makes no matter how similar,I wonder if there were 3d prints of both species made (they do this with their dinosaurs and modern marine life at least) and they got the names mixed up? :)

I honestly don't see that resemblance? This model's definitely got the shape of the Kronosaurus skull rather than Liopleurodon's. Below the neck, maybe, but you have to remember that the classic depiction of Kronosaurus is based on a skeleton with too many vertebrae added in. More updated restorations are going to look similar to other pliosaurs.
Actually,I was going by the more modern reconstructions based on Kronosaurus boyacensis than the mostly plaster Harvard skeleton of the more classic K. queenslandicus. But looking at a clearer picture of it over on the STS forum, you are right,it's skull actually is based on Kronosaurus.
The new Safari one however is the superior of the two in my opinion,so that one will be the one I go for. :)
Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

Oops. My mistake. CollectA also made a deluxe feathered 'velociraptor'. But still, they are all from the dark ages, no dromaeosaurids from the new age.

That figure is listed in my previous post. :)

Looks like some really great releases from Collecta so far for 2017.

I think their ceratopsians have improved much over the past couple years (despite the insistence on quills) and their marine reptiles have become stunning. I want all the herbivores we've been shown. That Kronosaurus is at least on par with the new Safari figure, plus articulation.

I'm really not a fan of figures on bases, so that makes the Deinocheirus a bit uninteresting to me. It's even mostly the same color as the figure itself.

I'm really hoping we see another 1:5 scale (or larger) entry into the Supreme line in 2017. I have the Guidraco, IMO one of Collecta's best, and was disappointed we didn't get another figure like that last year.

Anyway, keep em coming!

Oh ok! I forget that there's more than one species, haha.

So, is this all or is there going to be more?

i think there'd be more in the coming days (at least 5 more?).

I am sent the announcements of the news every year because I requested it in an email to the company of Collecta and in the message they said goodbye until next week.

To my knowledge at least next week there would be more news from Collecta and obviously from his star figures: dinosaurs and prehistoric animals, where I have hopes that they will make an arctodus simus yet.

Bokisaurus

Fantastic new figures! Really love the ceratopsian and krono ( for me it looks more real than Safari's).
I'm hoping there will be a sauropod in the mix for next year ^-^

I really would like to see some more mammals represented by SOMEone, other than a woolly mammoth or Smilodon.....maybe a nice Eobasileus (has anyone done one of these yet?) or Doedicurus (a personal fave of mine!). I know Safari's is pretty nice but I think one from CollectA or Papo would be amazing. CollectA has been pretty good at keeping some mammals in their line, and I'd like to see them continue the trend.

Can anyone verify if the CollectA ceratopsian sculls are accurate. They look a bit stretched out to me, especially the Regaliceratops.

Doedicurus would indeed be sweet. So would Megatherium and Arctotherium.

After seeing that awesome new Deluxe Styracosaurus, I would be perfectly happy if CollectA did a future wave consisting entirely of updated versions of their earliest toys, the ones that are really showing their age. Allosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Chasmosaurus, Dilophosaurus, Eotyrannus, Iguanodon, Paraceratherium, Shunosaurus, Tarbosaurus, etc.

The Regaliceratops figures snout is longer because thats how it actually was, the skull was misshapen from fossilization.

So it's the Julius Csotonyi reconstruction that has the inaccurate snout?

terrorchicken

will this be the year they finally give us a carnotaurus?  ???

There are the large and small versions by Play Vision (both quite rare) and the (much more attainable and IMO superior) Starlux. But I agree, one by Collecta or Safari (I'm not going to hold my breath for Papo - though PNSO might make a large one - would be awesome. I've been hoping for that day for quite a few years now :(). It's weird, it has to be one of the most fantastic looking creatures ever - like a vision from a fever dream, yet even Kaiyodo (to the best of my knowledge) never made one.

I wonder if that's it for the deluxes, or one more maybe? They did three or four last year and we've got Styracosaurus, Kronosaurus and Deinocheirus so far.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

This year, they had Beishanlong, Torvosaurus, Thalassomedon, and Spinosaurus. The previous year, it was the FTR, Acrocanthosaurus, and Pliosaurus, plus the Guidraco. So it's anyone's guess. Maybe a Supreme Yi qi or Microraptor will be revealed this Friday.

I hope there's going to be more mini tubes as well.
