Impressed with the species of ceratopsian chosen, the sculpt itself is rather...well its a pass for me sadly.
I do have a question regarding the Deinocheirus model however.....im not that savy on theropods and feathers so some help here...are the primaries where they should be on this one or should be down onto the digits of the hands themselves? I have seen people hammer some of the other theropods for that issue and I notice this one has the feathers starting below the hands as well....help please?

ornithomimosaurs didn't have primaries, from what I remember.
I am the Dinosaur King!

Brontozaurus

Not too long ago I was bemoaning the fact that no one makes Kronosaurus toys anymore. And now we're getting two big ones in the same year! Man, I'm going to have to figure out where they'll live in my collection.

I feel like the WS one has better colours (even though they're derivative; I just like blue and white ok), but the CollectA is the more interesting figure with the jaw and the speculative tail fin. Can't wait to have them side by side.

Regaliceratops looks pretty great too, glad to see they're trying for some more interesting poses. The Deinocheirus is an easy pass for me, don't need a bigger one than the standard version.

The Kronosaurus is excellent!

I like it very much too.  8)
It will be my first 2017 Collecta.

The Deluxe Deinocherius could be the perfect target for a repaint job..

:)

Silvanusaurus

I'm kind of dissapointed that 3 of these reveals so far have overlapped with Safari's, was hoping for some completely different things from CollectA. Still nothing that stirs my imagination so far. I'm glad they've sculpted a marine reptile without those weird cavities in it's head, at least, the Kronosaurus is the best so far I think, though something more obscure would have been preferable.

ceratopsian

I'll certainly buy the Regaliceratops.  I had been hoping very much that a company would produce one.  I'm disappointed that the Deluxe Deinocheirus is so similar to the non-scale range model of this year.  I already have that and don't want two - or to put it more accurately, space considerations tell me two isn't such a good idea.

Jose S.M.

For now I'm only interested in the Gigantspinosaurus and Regaliceratops, but so far all of them are great sculpts.

Killekor

Here we are! Another 3 dinosaurs

Deluxe Kronosaurus with movable jaw:

Deluxe 1/40 scale Deinocheirus:

And Regaliceratops (standard)

Predasaurskillekor
Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

What´s up with all of these premonitions?! First Gigantspinosaurus, and now Regaliceratops! Where do you get those premonition powers guys? :o

About the figures

Regaliceratops, mmmm....... I think I have seen those colors before....

I think it looks really nice. I think it will go to my list. But is that a claw what I see on the fourth finger of the left front feet? ???
Kronosaurus: It´s looks a bit weird (that head) It´s nice that they added articulated jaw to it, this means that future marine reptiles will have it also, which is great. I think I like the sculpt of the safari better, but I prefer the colors of this one.
Deinocheirus: YES! A BIG Deinocheirus! Thank you Collecta! I don´t care if it looks almost like the standard one, I don´t have it and I will never have it, but this one I will definitely have it!

A specimen of Struthiomimus or Ornithomimus shows that they have quill nobs, however someone said that they weren't enough to prove if they had full wings attached to the second finger, but they definitely have large feathers on their arms. Personally I think they should have complete wings, but I guess that Collecta decided to go with that small possibility that they did not have them.

Finally, a big Deinocheirus! I really need one of those in my collection.

Same here! This one's got me stoked.

The Deluxe Deinocheirus looks spectacular. I love it.

The Regaliceratops also looks superb, especially with that fiery colour scheme. It's going to look great with the other ceratopsians.

I like this Kronosaurus better than the Safari version. It has a moving jaw, the tail is fluked and the colour scheme isn't an umpteenth variation of the WWD Liopleurodon's.

Three Deluxe figures revealed thus far, and not one of them is a giant theropod with a huge head full of killer fangs. Can't wait till next Friday!

Mike Walley or one of the mods: could you please add these and the previous batch of photos to the front page of this thread?

Yes, I love the figure too.
But it's quite clear that the color scheme is from the old Schleich Replicasaurus Kronosaurus...

Yeah, Everything Dinosaur mentions the similarity in their article, but I don't buy the notion that CollectA deliberately copied the Schleich version. They're not identical.

CollectA actually revealed one more dinosaur figure today: the ivory-billed woodpecker. A very appropriate follow-up to this year's thylacine.

Kronosaurus looks quite lovely, but I'll wait until someone who knows more about them chimes in in-regards to the tooth placement before I make a final judgement. If it wasn't coming out alongside Safari's it would be a shoo-in.

Deinocheirus is to similar to their standard version, if it didn't have a base I would consider it over the Safari based on the colour scheme.

Now that is going to be a must-have, I hope it isn't fused to a branch...

...it's not a copy: it's a tribute...  ;)

Unfortunately for you it is, but I would still pick it up anyway, I know I will be  :)

Thanks,

Hopefully it'll be small enough I can afford a few for customs (secretary bird too).

Boxfish is also quite lovely.

I LOVE the Regaliceratops! Apparently the really deep, shortened snout in most reconstructions was distortion to the fossil, so the head on the CollectA figure looks more correct, a bit longer and shallower. Love that colour scheme too! This is definitely going in my collection!

The Kronosaurus... pass, I think, but I like it more than the Safari one this go round. I also prefer CollectA's Deinocheirus, and I'm glad they made a big one, but I'll probably just get the smaller one from last year for money and space reasons. Though they'd make a great pair, and the one last year was actually pretty close to 1:40 scale for the subadult one found with the bigger specimen.

And I also think I'll add the ivory-bill to my collection as well!
Once a man is tired of dinosaurs, he is tired of life; for there is in a dinosaur all that life can afford.

Shonisaurus

My opinions:

Regaliceratops I like their colors (maybe a little garish own of the philosophy of Collecta) and also I like their sculpture is much better than the einiosaurus of the same brand.

Kronosaurus is anatomically okay, but it reminds me in its colors of a mark ... which is honestly not educational although I do not love its mobile gags I prefer the Safari in this case for its colorful (perhaps more unreal) and why it has no jaws Articulated and I appreciate that. Safari is fortunately the only company that does not make dinosaurs with jaws and articulated body parts.

On the other hand the deinocheirus although it is a decal of the standard I hold that they find it made of size deluxe large scale will definitely make very good pair with the therizinosaurus of the same brand and they only need to make the gigantoraptor deluxe to form what I denominate "triplet "Collecta is desirable.

For now the figures are very good but what I said I do not like that the kronosaurus has mobile jaws have more merit to make dinosaurs and carnivorous animals without moving jaws from my optics of sight, although it must be recognized that these figures aside from the collectors are destined to children. However in this case I thank Safari for that detail I celebrate with its carnivores and marine animals!

I wish all companies would do the same with their prehistoric dinosaurs and carnivorous animals like Safari.

Concavenator

We're getting two Einiosaurus, two Kronosaurus and two Deinocheirus next year!
