You didn't notice the penis in the promo photo when it first came out?

Again, you can see the animal's limp penis in this shot:

Are you talking about the projections on the head?  ???

hmm....it worked for Tsintaosaurus.

Actually, it's quite obvious in the picture with the Kronosaurus. I just didn't notice before as I was too fixated on the Krono model.

The more I look at the pics the more I like the new figures. Collecta's stock photos don't do justice to them, the detail is somehow duller, while here we can appreciate it a lot better. And I'm glad to see that those models are packed with detail, especially the Kronosaurus, which is my personal favourite.

Perhaps it's just me, but the Dimorphodon seems kind of small in this photo. Or maybe it's just that the Styracosaurus is really big.

2017 Styracosaurus:  L 23.5 x H 14 cm /  L 9.3 x H 5.5 in
2017 Dimorphodon:   L 37.5 x H 12.4 cm /  L 14.8 x H 4.9 in

( from Collecta Catalogue )

I prefer a styracosaurus even if it is not on a large scale. I would like the ceraptosides other than the triceratops to be quite bulky. Styracosaurus is one of my favorite ceraptosides.
This recreation of styracosaurus reminds me of a resin figure. The same can be said of other figures such as the uintatherium (undoubtedly the best company of dinosaur toys in making figures of animals of the Cenozoic era is undoubtedly Collecta, today.
On the other hand the dimorphodon looks great as well as the kronosaurus so it would be ideal if its articulated jaws are strong enough so that one can leave them closed and in my case open. I know from experience that Collecta makes a jagged armpit quite resistant and can be left without problems with open jaws, an example is the guidraco whose figure has been surpassed by the brilliant dimorphodon.

I'd chalk it up to perspective.  Also the Dimorphodon is mostly tail lol

Look at where Collecta got inspiration for their Styracosaurus:

Shonisaurus

Collecta as it should be has been inspired by a real styracosaurus skeleton. This explains the perfection of this figure. Its result as it looks is surprising.  :P

Oh I definitely did, but the photo of the Kronosaurus really shows off all of the male anatomy, I was just pointing it out.

Thanks,

"Just think about it... Ceratopsids were the Late Cretaceous Laramidian equivalent of todays birds of paradise. And then there's Sinoceratops..."

I don't mind companies taking inspiration from actual fossils.
Regarding the CollectA styracosaurus, it's just a generic walk pose, I won't really say it was inspired by that particular fossil reconstruction. The first few images on Google also has a similar pose.

Quite a number of dinosaur toys are based directly on skeletal mounts. There's nothing wrong about it at all.

Ah man, seeing the new pictures has got me excited about CollectA's new figures again! I know I'll be gunning for the Regaliceratops, Gigantspinosaurus, and Uintatherium. I'd also love that Dimorphodon and maybe the Styracosaurus too but, alas, space and especially money constrain me...
Once a man is tired of dinosaurs, he is tired of life; for there is in a dinosaur all that life can afford.

Shonisaurus

I especially love the dinosaurs and prehistoric animals of Collecta because they are figures based faithfully on the paleontological remains that have been found of these creatures and of the reconstructions that exist in the diverse museums and works paleoartists of quality (as it is in the case of regaliceratops ).

Collecta together with Safari are the best companies of toy dinosaurs from the scientific point of view and faithful reflection of companies that are committed year by year in educating to especially to the smallest ones and also in offering to which we are adult collectors the best thing In terms of collecting figures.
