CollectA's Deinocheirus models are on par with Safari Ltd. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't CollectA already release this version??

The new 2017 Deluxe Deinocheirus will be the bigger version of the standard (and already released) 2016 version.

Collecta Deinocheirus 2016 standard version:

So Collecta will have two Deinocheirus version available in 2017, Standard and Deluxe.

Also Spinosaurus (and Feathered Tyrannosaurus) is already available in 2 size:

Shonisaurus

It seems to me a great idea that Collecta has made such emblematic figures in this case of the deinocheirus and its previous immediatly spinosaurus with different scales without practically varying the figure.

So one according to his economic ability or his tastes can choose between sizes. Collecta's applause also allows for models of theropods and prehistoric animals without articulated jaws (standard range) as with them (deluxe range). So people can choose between two options or as is my case with both options.

Sobreviviendo a la extinción!!!

With Safari , CollectA, and even Papo this year ..we certainly have an embarrassment of riches.

That Deinochirus IS NOT 1:40 Scale ::)

From what I can see from the production samples in the pictures posted, that Kronosaurus will simply be too good to pass up,even though I already have the excellent 2017 Safari Ltd. one. ;D
Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

That Deinochirus IS NOT 1:40 Scale ::)

The 2017 Deinocheirus will be 28,5 cm long (11,2") - you can check on the 2017 catalogue-.
The Deinocheirus was 11mt long (36ft).
The new model is at 1:39 (extremely close to 1:40).
Collecta is right.

The Deinocheirus look fantastic, and BIG ;D
The Kronosaurus looks WAY better here than in the promo pictures. I really like it.
Both Regaliceratops and Einiosaurus look really good. Styracosaurus looks beautiful, but what a pity that is not a standard smaller model.
The paint application on the Gigantspinosaurus looks very sloopy. :(
I wish we had bigger version of some of the new minis cause they look really cool.

I don't know whether the paint application on Gigantspinosaurus is sloppy or if the pattern used is just odd. I don't like that some of the brown color obscures the eyes. All the other figures look great.

I do like the new Styracosaurus, but it's quite giant. I had the X-Plus version for awhile, but had to swap it for the Papo one primarily for space reasons. I'll probably switch again for this one, but I may need to reorganize and buy some new shelving, I do so dislike a cluttered display. I think I'll also pick up the Regaliceratops, at least until a superior version appears. I've already replaced last year's Deinocheirus with the new Safari version on the grounds that the texture of the latter piece is much more convincing to my eye, so there's no need to pick up this new bigger one. the Uintatherium looks neat and I don't presently have one, the Basilosaurus looks a little snake-like for me, the Excalibosaurus will probably all have warped snouts, the Einiosaurus would be superfluous next to my Safari version, and the Gigantspinosaurus just kind of looks off.

I'm on the fence with the Kronosaurus - it has a tail fluke, which I like, but it also has an articulated jaw, which I dislike. Hmm.
The Dimorphodon is a definite winner, but these photos do kinda make its teeth look metallic grey.

Sure that mini Dunkleosteus shows the big potential of a future deluxe version. Collecta is good at marine creatures but with the Basilosaurus they could have done a better job, I would have liked it more beefy and with an articulated jaw. I guess you can't have everything though.

Talking of aquatic beasts I hope they'll consider to release a deluxe swimming Spinosaurus, it should have been the swimming version in the first place cause the walking pose is a bit controversial, but the new enlarged Deinocheirus proves that Collecta is open to rework their models.

suspsy

I really don't see them doing another Deluxe Spinosaurus, not unless a complete skeleton is discovered and it turns out that the Sereno/Ibrahim reconstruction is indeed wrong.

A larger scale Dunkleosteus would indeed be welcome.

Yes, probably, but I'd love them to boost up the existing swimming model to the deluxe size, like they basically did with the Deinocheirus. A new sculpt is not necessary. I must say that I'm not sold on the Serano & Ibrahim reconstruction but I appreciate that Collecta have promptly made a model of it. Only the swimming version is better because of a much more believable posture, no broken wrists, and would be awesome in 1:40 scale.

Faelrin

I really still do want that prehistoric sea life set. Looks like the Dunkleosteus there has skin covering the armor, and some sort of lips to a degree. Add me to the list of wanting a larger version of that Dunkleosteus eventually (and knowing me, I'd love it if it had an articulated jaw as well). I'm really digging that selection of invertebrates too.

Rathalosaurus

OH MAN! The Dimorphodon, Styracosaurus and Einiosaurus are gorgeous!! Jesus Christ I need to save money!
Dude, I very like Dinos and I cannot understand those who don't.

Shonisaurus

In almost general terms are precious all the novelties of Collecta. Perhaps the less striking are the excalibosaurus for its size and the gigantspinosaurus but seeing its figure seems much better than the prototype.

The Regaliceratops and Gigantspinosaurus are the two I'll get for sure. The Regaliceratops itself looks way better than the preview photo while the Gigantspinosaurus is just unique and cool. For the Einiosaurus I think I prefer safari's.

"3,000 km to the south, the massive comet crashes into Earth. The light from the impact fades in silence. Then the shock waves arrive. Next comes the blast front. Finally a rain of molten rock starts to fall out of the darkening sky - this is the end of the age of the dinosaurs. The Comet struck the Gulf of Mexico with the force of 10 billion Hiroshima bombs. And with the catastrophic climate changes that followed 65% of all life died out. It took millions of years for the earth to recover but when it did the giant dinosaurs were gone - never to return." - WWD

EarthboundEiniosaurus

Lol we've got another male mammal from Collecta  :P

EarthboundEiniosaurus
"Just think about it... Ceratopsids were the Late Cretaceous Laramidian equivalent of todays birds of paradise. And then there's Sinoceratops..."
- Someone, somewhere, probably.
