Wow all of those are wonderful. It amazes me when folks are able to come up with the designs for these on their own.

She says she made most of the ones in the album for family and friends, but she did say she was open to taking commissions. She made that post a couple of years ago, though, so I have no idea if she still is. Here's the original post, where she talks about commissions in the comments. If you're on reddit, you could try pming her and asking.

Thanks, very helpful! Some interesting extant rodents in her portfolio.

PRI has another Paleozoic Pals kickstarter that went live today. Featuring Pterygotus and Astraspis (as the stretch goal unlocked at $25,000). Thought I would let folks know. I'm more stoked for that Astraspis though. I asked last year if they could do an "ostracoderm". Really nice to see them do another book, and with artwork consistent to the plushie designs.

I'll add the proper link and pics when I am home.

Edit: Sorry it took me so long to get to this. Anyways campaign is funded now, and first two stretch goals have been unlocked. Next up is that Astraspis!

Stretch goal #1 is funded:

Fact sheet and artwork/sticker for anyone at pledge levels $18 and more. Tiktaalik pin unlocked as well.

Stretch goal #2 is funded ($10 add on):

Stretch goal #3 (unlocks at $25,000), Astraspis plushie:

I've dabbled a bit with plush prehistoric life myself.  Made some of it myself, in fact.  Mine seem to be a bit...overly ambitious in terms of scale, though.  (The size can be stepped down a bit if people are interested and don't want a thirty or forty pound stuffed toy.)

48" Mega Godzilla Plush (Does this count?)

This was the end result of copying the pattern from the old Toy Vault 20" Supersized Godzilla I got in college.  The old plush was falling apart, the G2000 plush of similar size was unobtanium, the obvious choice was to disassemble it and trace everything out in Illustrator.  I've made three of these.

Mega Kronosaurus Plush:

One of my few successful attempts at pattern development.  Over four times the size of other stuffed pliosaurs.  Dangerously soft.

Life-Sized Gorgonops Plush:
Model Sheet:

Render:

Blank Prototype:

My first commissioned pattern, I should be taking a stab at making this toothy Permian terror in the next few weeks.  Fur has been ordered.  Worrisome amounts of fur, because I couldn't buy fractional yardage.

The next designs (probably this fall) will probably be a robot smilodon (loosely based off of the Saber Tiger/Zaber Fang) and the tyrannosaurid-like Zeke from Zoids Chaotic Century/Guardian Force.  Unconventional, yes, but it wouldn't be fun otherwise.

Note:  I can make these on demand, just DM me.

Update:

And so it begins with toothy kitty.  I think I'm probably going to be using a lot of printed fleece to reduce labor inputs to a tolerable level.

I thought I'd let folks know the Astraspis plushie stretch goal on the Paleozoic Pals Pterygotus kickstarter has been funded now, with 15 days remaining.

I finished the giant Gorgonops plush. They need to be put on the scale as they consumed at least fifty pounds (23kg) of polyfill.  They might rival the giant hydralisk in terms of mass.

I can't make up my mind on doing Viktor, Zeke, or Zerstorer next.

Since we don't have a dedicated Paleo Pals thread yet (besides the old Dusty Kickstarter thread), I'll just post here:

Paleo Pals had a booth at the Denver Mineral and Fossil Show at the National Western Complex Events Center a couple of days ago - and it looks like they DO still have some Opabinias in stock!

Somehow, I missed this thread. Those plushes you've made look incredible avatar_KronoGarrett @KronoGarrett , must've been tough making them a reality.

Sorry, wrong Krono. Coincidentally though, I do sew my own line of tardigrade stuffed animals.

Accept my compliments either way then, ;) :)

Oh nice I didn't catch the Paleozoic Pals Kickstarter for this year. Love that Astraspis, and it was funded yes?

Have got a "soft" spot for the occasional well-done prehistoric plush, and I supported the P. Pals Isotelus/Peytoia Kickstarter. I might have to grab that Astraspis once it becomes available in their shop. I like the Pterygotus, too! Seems like there was talk of these guys doing a Brachiopod pillow in the future too, which I think would be great fun.

I do really like the "Paleo Pals" Diplocaulus and Opabinia too, but those are just too darn expensive for me to justify. No way those should be priced more than twice what Paleozoic Pals asks for each of their own offerings.

Gwangi

I'm really behind on the Paleozoic Pals. I used to live near the Museum of the Earth where they're sold but since moving away I've failed to keep up on them. I've either got to get them online or make the 7 hour trip back home!

Yes, it was funded! Glad to see more "ostracoderm" representation on the market, and equally glad they (Paleozoic Pals) took avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin 's suggestion for jawless fish plushies into consideration. The cephalaspis tease is certainly exciting as well.

One design choice I find weird is the pattern used for the head shield. I think a hexagonal patterned fabric would better represent the infamous "star shield" of Astraspis, and the current fish-scale patterned fabric would be better suited to represent the actual scaly body of the fish instead.

Anyone else have fond memories of the Natural History Museum London's Gorgeous line of Wild Republic plushies?

These always excited me from a young age, as it was like getting to take home a piece of the real thing. to a small child, having cute, 'chibi proportion' dinosaurs that looked more like something out of my Luis V rey illustrated books, rather than a Jurassic Park movie, really made all the difference.

the colours on these were gorgeous too, especially the Dromaeosaurs.

i currently own an articulated Utahraptor plush (yes, it had metal wiring going through it, pretty cool) and i plan on getting more. they pair well with the Dinosaurs in the Wild plushies, and the Utahraptor from the Walking with Dinosaurs live tour.

Those are pretty nice color schemes; I don't think I was aware of these toys before.
I know Wild Republic still sells some prehistoric creatures, but they're a little moe generic in looks now.

modern wild republic is a mess. im not going to get into it all but yeah.

pretty sure this line started in 2005?
really good stuff for the time, i adore these.
they did a few others too,

the triceratops is quite nice.

a fairly WWD looking diplodocus too, pretty cool!

what i also like is the different size variations.

they did these little hatching sized "babies" too, which i remember being very fond of on sleepovers, where a friend and i would pretend to raise the hatchlings for the weekend  ;D (dinosaur king was big at the time)

(screenshot taken from an 8 year old catalogue. these were the even tinier baby versions of the already small and adorable plushies available.)

(here are most of the adults. very good gift shop stuff, its time the natural history museum did modern versions of these, with some new species too)

I've seen some neat products from Wild Republic before; but based on those photos, their prehistoric selection has definitely taken a hit.

One company I'm growing curious about goes by the store name of Gage Beasley; I'm not entirely sure if they are original creators or just 3rd party retailers (they've got some knockoff dino models which make me suspicious), but they have an impressive variety of slightly higher-end plushies which include a few prehistoric species. The one which really surprised me is what looks to be a 2020-current Dilophosaurus.

stargatedalek

These really nice plushes come from a mystery manufacturer that sells primarily to Aliexpress vendors.
