So I just saw that it was $2 away from the next stretch goal. I'm pretty sure by tomorrow that should be exceeded.

I've been wondering about the head shape as well.

Yeah, it's slightly putting me off from jumping to back this plush.

I hoped that they would've chosen another synapsid  for the stretch goal rather than dimetrodon. There are so many dimetrodon toys and plushies already, it's just like T-rex and Triceratops, so many depictions, but only few stand out.
This dimetrodon is no means bad, and I understand that it's just an early prototype, but so far this doesn't really stand out from most other depictions. And do we really need another dimetrodon?

Hynerpeton

Can u buy online? how much is shipping? Anyone know.
Walking With Monsers:
[about Lystrosaurus] Astonishingly, their vast herds make up more than half of all life on Earth. Never again will a single species do so well.

Walking With Monsters: (Hynerpeton) To avoid injury the males demonstrate their strength  in a strange  push up contest.

Whether intentional or accidental it's against the forum rules to have more than one account, and you already have one (Jungleplush). I will delete one, but before I do, any preference which account you want to keep?

Jurassicplush

Sorry about that, I'd like to keep this one if you don't mind, I'm not using the other account email anymore that's why I registered again, thank you

Ok  :)

In an effort to reach the Dimetrodon stretch goal, PRI has offered a new $16 tier where you can get dimetrodon by itself without tiktaalik.  There's three days left & only about $800 to go before the goal is met.

That is one ugly dimetrodon, not a fan of it.

I think the sauropod in particular is brilliant. Love the colours and the expression.

Keaton64

The Dimetrodon stretch goal was met, and other tiers have opened up to get it by itself or with 1 or 2 Tiktaaliks.

Faelrin

I think the Dimetrodon looks better then it did before. I hope it'll look better by the time it is finished, since I'm at the early bird pledge, and those at $26 or higher get a Dimetrodon now that they hit their stretch goal.

I'm kind of surprised the Edaphosaurus was not done, considering that was one of the selections to vote for in the tetrapod category for last year's campaign. Maybe it will see the day of light next year.

Voting? Interesting, what were the contenders? Because I was very disappointed that PRI went for a dimetrodon rather than something a bit more obscure, like they normally do.

Faelrin

They had voting (for backers only) during the Ammonoid campaign for several groups like prehistoric sharks, "living fossils", and tetrapods. After the voting for the categories ended, there was voting for the creatures within those categories (The tetrapods category had Tiktaalik, Edaphosaurus, and a gorgonopsid. The living fossils category had a horseshoe crab, the Coelacanth, Triops, and a velvet worm). From the tetrapod category Tiktaalik came in first, Edaphosaurus came in second. The horseshoe crab came in first for the living fossils category, and the Triops and Coelacanth were tied for second place in that one.

Darn, we could've had a edaphosaurus plush...
I wonder what was the reason behind the change from Edaphosaurus to Dimetrodon.

Faelrin

I'm hoping it's for next years campaign. As much as I love Dimetrodon, I also like Edaphosaurus. I always felt like these two made a good pair together, since they're both sail backed synapsids. Plus if there was a plush of it, I'm wondering if that would indeed be a first.

Halichoeres

Anybody here familiar with TST Advance? They've got a pretty huge variety of prehistoric plushes: http://item.rakuten.co.jp/love-journey/c/0000000114/

I don't think any American or European company can touch them for variety. Ediacaran stuff, Cambrian stuff, some dinosaurs, amphibians like Prionosuchus and Gerrothorax, early reptiles like pareiasaurs and amphibamids, stem-mammals, lots and lots of Paleozoic fishes (plus some modern deep sea fishes). I think I might give in to temptation on some of the weirder fish.

I'd like to see their entire range of taxa in plastic, of course.

Wow, never heard of them before, but that's quite a selection they have!  :o

I'll be damned, at least somebody knew them, because there's a review of their Elginerpeton on the blog:

Impressive, right? It's a hint at what Paleozoic Pals could be one day.
