I have yet to see any talk about this and the topic for the raptor plushies has been silent for a long time so I though a new topic would be the best way to share this. The kickstarter is going til May 7.

QuoteHello Kickstarter! My name is Rebecca Groom, and I am the person behind Palaeoplushies™; a series of realistic soft sculpture dinosaurs that I design and sew myself. I have previously run a successful Kickstarter campaign to produce Velociraptor plushies and other Velociraptor-related goodies. My focus on scientific accuracy has been warmly received by palaeo-fans and those from the palaeontological community alike.

The experience of running the previous Kickstarter has taught me a lot about the plush manufacturing process what to be prepared for. This time I hope to put that knowledge to good use to produce a number of life-size, accurate Archaeopteryx soft toys! I aim to make the toys bigger, fluffier and more cuddly than the Velociraptors, whilst retaining their palaeontological accuracy.

That's awesome! I think this Archaeopteryx is the cutest palaeoplushy yet!

That is adorable!  I think my Deinonychus plushie may be getting a roomie!
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

Love it! I think I'll pledge too.

Deinonychus plushie!? Was that a limited time thing from a while ago? I'm a sucker for old "terrible claw"

Nope, she was made by Viergacht and sold to me.  She's a very nice and fluffy raptor.

Oh, that is really quite charming. I might actually try to get one. I'm usually hesitant to get plushies since they get dirty so easily, plus they show signs of wear and tear after a few washings, but I really like the look of this little guy. It's much better than that of the previously released Velociraptor by the same company, anyway. The Archaeopteryx, on the other hand, is birdlike enough to tempt me.

I'm kind of broke right now, after going and spending at the Jurassic World Exhibition on the weekend, other wise I would love to pledge for this. It looks so gorgeous and fluffy. Hope there will be some to buy later on.

Well, it's been nearly a year now, but those of you waiting (like me) hopefully won't have to wait much longer.

The Archaeopteryx plushies finished production in October, but shipping was apparently met with difficulties. The last update, from February 22, stated this:

QuoteHello!

Thank you all for your patience.

I've been chasing up the plushie's location- it turns out that they were delayed upon export from the USA due to a safety inspection/trademark inspection, something to do with EU customs. They'll be in UK inbound customs within 2 weeks, and from there they will be transported to Scotland for me.

This looks like it may take up to a month before the plushies are with me here, which is longer than expected but I'm glad they've been located. Hopefully they'll arrive sooner but I'm not holding my breath.

Thanks again for all your support! I'll keep you posted!

I'm looking forward to mine! It should make a good companion for Dusty the Diplocaulus when he arrives too.
