I finally have some time to share at least a part of my collection, so here it is. The stuff shown here is what I currently have on display. I have more figures in storage. Photos of those and close ups of the figures shown in my display will come by sometime around late may-june. I hope ::)

But as it is for now, enjoy  ;) :

My "On Scale" self:

The mixed self, contains JPs, non scale figures and figures I could not fit in the "on scale" self:

The self above my bed, Ammonites fossil, Favorite Archelon, Collecta Pliosaurus, Velociraptor 1/1 skull replica (I really, REALLY want a T.rex skull replica, but they are so expensive..), Trilobites fossil, PNSO Megalodon and other replicas, things and small fossils.

My Battat collection, still on their boxes. Usually I do not like keeping my figures in their boxes. But they look soooo good like this. I think I am going to buy some of them again just to take them out of the box.

My Safari Velociraptor, currently sharing a self with some of my transformers:

And the dinos on my desk table:

On the right, my proudest catch, my second JPIII Animatronic Spinosaurus:

On the left, the current "kings" of my collection, Safari Tyrannosaurus and Collecta Spinosaurus, I just need the Safari Giganotosaurus to form the "Triumvirate":

I like the 'Tower of Terra!'

It makes a nice display, uses the less space possible and is solid! ;D

ZoPteryx

Very nice, can't wait to see what else you've got in store!  :)

Hello guys
I decided to used my own collection thread instead of making a new one.
The fact is, I wanna do a display with six of the most popular dinosaurs, and I do not know which Parasaurolophus I should use, because in my point of view, one is not big enough, and the other is a little bit too large. So I want to ask: Which one looks better to you scale wise?
The one that might be a little bit too large, Collecta deluxe Parasaurolophus:

The one that might not be big enough, Battat Parasaurolophus:

And a comparison of both Paras with T.rex:

sauroid

very cool figures. i prefer the Battat Para scale-wise over the CollectAS altho they are both nice.
"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

Jose S.M.

I prefer how the Battat one looks, I find the Collecta to be a little too oversized, and to me personally, it's better to have a subadult or an adult that's on the lower end of the size estimates that one that would represent an abnormally large individual.

Shonisaurus

Although I like big figures, I like Batta parasaurolophus more than Collecta. Apart from that the Battat parasaurolophus has more conservative colors and is more proportionate and it goes without saying that the company Collecta is a great figure and that it has a huge merit.  ^-^

I too would go with the smaller one as a sub-adult or young adult would seem more representative of the population than a massive super-size specimen.

stargatedalek

Typically I would agree, if an individual is out of scale being smaller is more realistic, though with this selection the Battat Parasaurolophus does seem like an odd member out, so I would recommend the CollectA simply because it makes for a more convincing set with the others.

I think you have hit the nail in the coffin on why I somehow prefer the CollectA. CollectA´s Para looks better aesthetically with the other figures despite being somewhat oversized. Battat´s Para sticks like a short thumb.

Also everyone, thank you for your suggestions! I really appreciate it!

PD: Anyone knows of a Parasaurolophus figure that it is reasonably accurate whose size is more or less between those two Paras? I know Papo´s and Schleich Replicasaurus are more or less on that size range, but I don't think they are accurate enough.

I can see that. maybe it's for the sculpt style (wrinkly instead of scaly) and the simplistic paintjob, the other figures have less shiny finishes and more shading and blending of colors. I think you and stargatedalek are right, CollectA fits better.

Halichoeres

I still prefer the Battat despite the minor stylistic incongruity. The only other Paras in that scale that I know of are the Schleich Replicasaurus, the Carnegie, and the Papo, all of which I think are less accurate and realistic.

Nice display and collection.
I agree I like the CollectA para the best to go with the selection you have for the display. It's a nice figure. The colors works well with the rest of the figures you selected.
As far as other paras out there, two comes to mind, the Safari and Favorite (original version, there is also a larger, but even more colorful one). Although both I think will "clash" with your color palette  ;D
[]
The Safari is nice sculpt, but I'm not very fond of the colors due to the extreme black strips on the legs and neck. To me it just looks burnt! ;)

Shonisaurus

Sincerely in general terms every company in this case the parasaurolophus has its grace. I really like the parasaurolophus of Mr. Doug Watson and the colors do not displease me, for me he is a great figure. As for Favorite, which was very difficult to locate (thanks to Dejankins, good salesman and better person) is a figure in his first version of the best that this company has done with regard to hadrosaurids second only to saurolophus.

And the parasaurolophus Battat is a figure that despite the years since his first figure was identical but with another color palette is never obsolete. It is a pity that Battat has decided to paralyze the production of these dinosaur figures caused by the sad death of the great Dans Lorusso.  :(

From my point of view each company, as I have already mentioned, has its genius and its grace both from the point of production and from the point of view of paleontological veracity with great sculptors involved.  :)

Thank you everybody for your answers.

I think I am going to use the Battat Parasaurolophus for now.

And this thread goes back to its old name. :)
