This isn't actually news, but it was something I didn't know about before: some mylodontid ground sloths had osteoderms.

Thanks for sharing that article!  I had known some sloths had osteoderms, but much of what was shared in that article was new to me.

That image of the skin is really fascinating, almost ghostly in a way.
