Are you familiar with creating models and distributing them? I would expect one to know that much before claiming to create a figure line. Are you going to sculpt digitally, using a 3D modeling program and use a 3D printer or 3D printing service, or are you going to do it by hand? Since you admitted you are 12, do you have any adults that would assist with any of this (since some of this will need to be done by an adult no doubt, rather then a child)?

Quite frankly I'm a bit skeptical that a 12 year old could pull something like this off, unless they did some extensive research first. That's not even counting all the time and money and materials something like this could require. That aside you haven't shown us any of your work. How can any of us have any idea if we would want to support this planned figure line, if no figures have been shown at this point (which would help to give members here an idea of what your style is)?

You might have better luck with Blender for sculpting organic shapes (although Blender has a very steep learning curve and the interface can be very difficult to learn). Sculptris is another. Google Sketchup is for modelling buildings, and in addition it is a surface only modeller- making 3D printing tricky. Totally unsuitable for creating sculptures of extinct animals (or any animals, really).

I know because I have tried myself, a long time ago and had nothing but headaches with Sketchup, even trying to print simple things like 3D boxes.

+1 on Blender (and also for having a steep learning curve). It's also free to use though. I'm a bit familiar with one of the older versions (2.49b), but I seldom use it for making new models. I haven't been keeping up on the new versions, mostly because I can't use the new versions anyways with what I mostly use Blender for, but I recall there being a guide called noob to pro for the older versions. Resin might be a good choice for doing things by hand. I've not used it before though. Sculpting by hand might be an easier and faster choice, if you have someone that can help with distributing and molding (and whatever else such a process entails).

Anyone remembers when I did the same and said I would make a line of figures? I was weird (I still am)

I'm still patiently waiting for the first figures from Richie The Dino Corp: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=1655.0
and Mesozoic Masterpiece: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=5554.msg166806#msg166806

Were either of these you?

It does not look like either of those threads were started by PaleoMatt. The top thread was started by an account called "Zhuchengotyrant" and the bottom thread was started by an account called "Cloud The Dinosaur King".

In Reply #16 of this thread, I was referring to those two you linked to when I said, "I seem to remember at least two other members who said they were going to start their own line of figures while being at a non-adult age."  From what I can remember, eventually those two members each posted that their figure lines would no longer be happening.
