In 2015 Safari LTD decided for The Carnegie Collection to be retired.
It was a glorious line of prehistoric figures since 1988.
In the last few months I'v tried to complete my CC as far as I can.
And it's time to compile a thread with a full compendium about the Carnegie line.

I did my best to collect images of CC but probably I forgot something..
If so, please add your suggestions about missing figures.
I hope it could help the collectors in the future.

Excluding repaints, the Carnegie review page only needs someone to do the Australopithecus family to be complete!

Thanks for that summary,.. indeed a nice collection. I got the majority of them, but not nearly all of them and I think I see the Australopithecus for the first time. That would be figures to seek out for me.

RobinGoodfellow

I have all the main figures from the collection with the exception of some repaints.
I didn't want to show my collection (I already have a thread about this) but my intention was about doing a global summary of the CC.
Some pictures above are taken from the web.

I don't have in my collection:

-the very first grey Apatosaurus/Brachiosaurus release
-the very first dark green Tyrannosaurus release (..now I have..  ;) )
-the very first grey Triceratops release
-the red Velociraptor
-the grey Quetzalcoatlus

But I'm still searching for them....  ;)

Carnotaurus

Great post Robingoodfellow. I have only 4 CC figures, Amargasaurus, Saltasaurus, Giganotosaurus and Carnotaurus newer version. I really like this collection, lot of detail in the sculptures and nice accurate proportions, althoug first waves are not as accurate as the later.

Greets!

PhilSauria

Great post! A very comprehensive and well illustrated overview of the line. My current tally amounts to 24 Carnegies. I went through a period of trying to collect and catalogue (via reserach on the web) as many as I could. The completest in me was outvoted by the inclination to pass on the earlier less polished figures (but I had to have the big Brachiosaur and Apatosaur - the Diplodocus was too pricey). As a major Sauropod collector I always felt it was a shame that the line finished before they could release an updated Apatosaurus - I'm sure it would have set a benchmark for others to match! The revamped Diplodocus is one of a handful of figures I'd hang onto if I ever had to (hypothetically!) sell off my collection. It was while researching these figures that I discovered and joined the DTF.

I think you missed the gray and red version of the Allosaurus, but otherwise a very detailed overview of the line and even included the original gray toned figures, so props to you RobinGoodFellow! (Can I call you Robin for short or no?)  ;)

I'm actually sitting on a review right now. Once I edit it I'll send it in!

Have you got pictures of them to be included in the thread, please ?

(Also Tanystropheus/Iguanodon has a color variation: I'm searching for pictures..)

Do you want me to just simply post them on the thread?

I found some pictures on the web.
Please, re-check the thread: are they the missing figures you mentioned ?
Thanks.  :)

Now the CC catalog would be complete.
@Everyone: Please, send a note if figures (even color variations) are missing..

:)

thanks for starting this thread RobinGoodFellow. i need a few more figures to complete my Carnegie Collection myself.

It's a good idea for a thread - thank you RobinGoodfellow.  Carnegie dinosaurs were what I started collecting when I found this hobby just over two years ago. They soon had me hooked! I have most of the ones I want - the only one I'm keeping my eye open for is the Oviraptor without the tail fan.  Like PhilSauria, it was hunting around on the net to research the Carnegies that led me to first the blog reviews and hence to the forum.  So I have a very soft spot for them.
