Ha, that was a fun read. Most of the paleontologists I know have a toy or three on their desk. Of course, the ones I know skew young, of a generation formed by Jurassic Park, but still.

I know of at least one older one ( 57 ) who also has some in his office and at home. He also got a Battat Diplodocus.
