So maybe Universal Studios will get wind of this, and I can haggle royalties....

They should make a TV series around Jurassic Park / The Lost World novels, completely separate universe from the film franchise. There's a lot to explore there, especially if the series actually began as a prelude to the events at the beginning of the Jurassic Park novel.

Of course, this adaptation would remain more true to the original novels, although to expand it into a TV series that may last more than a few seasons, some creative liberties would have to be allowed. There are lot more characters that could be featured, as well as many different sub-plots, including but not limited to:

  • a younger Hammond first starting to explore the idea of his park, & gradually recruiting other characters into his employ [Henry Wu, Robert Muldoon, Dennis Nedry, John (Ray) Arnold]
  • Lewis Dogdson, his company BioSyn & their competition with InGen
  • a younger Alan Grant & his sordid relationship with Ellie Sattler (although she is "betrothed" to another)
...and in later seasons (after the events of JP), those other characters we missed from TLW novel, such as Richard Levine and Jack Thorne may come into play.

Let's start a petition! lol, JK

So there wouldn´t be any dinosaurs in the first season?

Not necessarily. I suppose it would depend on how the writers planned out everything.
