I have a feeling Dominion is going to be a mess but I agree, I think with the right mediums the new ideas for this franchise are fantastic. Imagine an Allosaurus breaking into a school playground, a Kosmoceratops using bus stops as cover from rain. There's just so many ideas.
Most (if not all) Rebor figures are mid

EDIT: Spoiler tag gone.
First official image of Dominion featuring Claire Dearing and a certain dinosaur

Look at those claws on the left, Therizinosaurus no doubt.

Is it ok to make it vissible or should I keep the spoiler? It´s an officialy published image after all.

Spoiler
Missed opportunity to do the feet right (particularly the placement of the first toe), but oh well. Not a huge deal/par for the course. Wrists look pronated too.

Edit: Looking back at the leaked toy the feet are at least consistent but the wrists do seem to be positioned better there. To be honest I'm more interested in the toys at this point so I guess I should be satisfied with that.

I think it is okay to forego the spoiler tag for officially released images like this, and also movie posters, trailers, and things like that.  C:-)

Here's a quote from Colin Trevorrow and a slightly enhanced version of the photo.

JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION---Colin Trevorrow commented on DOMINION, "This is a rare film where it is so different from anything that I've ever seen before, I didn't know what to watch as inspiration. Honestly, we watched a lot of nature documentaries. I watched a lot of Planet Earth. The movie does rely on the animals acting and reacting in ways that feel natural."
Also, a new photo shows Bryce Dallas Howard being pursued by what appears to be a Therizinosaurus.

I'm surprised that's meant to be a movie still. It reminds me of the Lake Placid movie poster:

Spoiler
unfortunately the top one, that bottom one is based on earlier concept art!
the bottom one is based on the final design.

That IS unfortunate, especially given that all their other dromaeosaurs have lips. Like their Oviraptor, 1 step forward, 2 steps back :-\

I've seen the leaked Therizinosaurus image. Jurassic World sure did a marvellous job of taking one of the most bizarre-looking dinosaurs known to science and making it as boring as possible. Small head? Gone. Near-upright posture? Gone. Potbelly? Gone. Unusually shaped feet? Gone. The movie Therizinosaurus design is basically a generic theropod body with giant arms tacked on. Indeed, judging from that one leaked image, it looks like they reused the Allosaurus' body. That's soft.

Why in the world is there a Therizinosaurus in the first place?

This is my problem with this movie (or will be since it has yet to be released). Everyone asking for different and new dinosaurs to be seen in Dominion, yet it makes no sense when they just appear out of no where since we saw all the species released in Fallen Kingdom.

InGen is/was probably not the only company making Dinosaurs.
Spoiler
Mantah Corp for example made some, too.

Also does Claire in the swamp count as a "Redhead in Green"?

Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Here is the thing, I don't read leaks nor do I follow into story lines outside of JP/JW (somewhat of Camp Cretaceous but I don't rely on it with the franchise storyline. As a result of this, I feel like I am a common fan of the franchise. Knows the plot and previous events that happened in the previous movie to know and remember what we may see in the future. For example, like I mentioned in my previous post on what species were released in Lockwood's mansion. I just really think this movie is going to be a mess. What I am excited for is the TLW San Diego like events that may occur in Dominion. Somewhat like the clips featured in Battle at Big Rock.

Well we also have:
Spoiler

BioSyn returning. That''s pretty much a big thing here and will likely explain a lot of why there are new dinosaurs I'm sure. Likely many of these new ones were created after the events of FK.

I also saw a leaked toy of the Pyroraptor over on Andy's Dinosaur youtube. I mean it is highly stylized, but this is yet another toy that shows it without primary feathers, and had pronated wrists. Granted the toys could have been made before the final design, as what happened with some of the figures from the first film, especially the Pachyrhinosaurus (and what a shame they haven't re-used the sculpt since and properly named it). It also had the red, with blue tail tip and head markings which I think the concept art of the plush had. Maybe like the Micro Collection figure too.

So my low expectations from the Oviraptor, some highly stylized toys, and concept art aside, I'm starting to think I should be happy after all, even if the final result might not be done right like I would like them too, such as with the primary feathers and without pronated wrists. What I'm getting at here though is that I mean I don't think any of us could have predicted this change of direction back in 2015 for example, that we would finally have not one, but several feathered dinosaurs in the upcoming film (never mind the ones in the Prologue which may or may not reappear in the film). I mean, perhaps this Pyroraptor will be like what Talon from Primal Rage was for me, for some kid out there. Talon barely had feathers, but I thought it was really cool growing up, and I really do think it helped go a long way to helping me accept the real animals were nothing like the JP ones I also grew up with (JPIII's minimal attempt aside). I just hope these feathered dinosaurs are handled in a way that folks will like them, and perhaps even want to learn more about them as a result.
