Aaaaand, David says the following:
QuoteTomorrow we'll take a look at an updated Sinoceratops as well as a few items that have yet to be shown.
:o , this peaks my interest.
And the few unannounced items might simply be postcard set 2#

stegosauria

David commented that he will show the Utahceratops, the Pentaceratops and the Torosaurus but they will be unpainted- he didn't have enough time for them too. He didn't mention the painted adult Triceratops but he already showed that unpainted at the San Diego ComicCon. And there are still a few package art that weren't revealed yet.

Man, I never get tired of seeing the backgrounds Ramos picks! They're all so beautiful and unique, they add so much feeling to the art.

The 48-hour notifications should have gone out by now; let's wait and see how much the amount pledged increases...

Someone should either add all these box art images to the OP, or start a new thread for them. It would be great to see all of them together.

I was behind on seeing the update/checking the kickstarter today (because I was at the vet with my cat this morning and dealing with some heavy stuff right now), but wow that Sinoceratops artwork looks fantastic, though all of them really do. I really do love the choice of background used in most of Raul's artwork. Such fascinating scenery.

Also I really hope Psittacosaurus can be unlocked before this ends. It's certainly slowed down yesterday, when I was hoping it would start picking up. Hopefully it does now.

I know I've never really talked to you before but I just wanted to say I hope your kitty is okay and you feel better soon. <3

I don't actually like the coloration on the figure, but seeing it look so realistic in the package artwork is incredible. As always, an awesome job by Raul Ramos.

I hope your kitty gets better. :)

I'm guessing we unlock Psittacosaurus by EOD. Fingers crossed!

Gothmog the Baryonyx

I just backed this on Sunday, 85 dollars (UK price) on the Protoceratops. Can anyone tell me if this is the price for just the Protoceratops, or for the Protoceratops and something else?

Edit: Shortly after I posted that, the updated Sinoceratops sculpt has been revealed (also post card set 2 is now available):

And I did see that I was credited for mentioning this to David on the kickstarter, but I did go and give credit to avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy (since you noticed it to begin with. I merely just carried the message along in the comments to the update).

There have been some unnerving drops in the funding total as fanboys of particular taxa withdraw their pledges, but overall things are looking up. There's still time for a surge, but I don't think it will be anything like the last couple of days of the raptor campaign.

In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

I'll be very surprised if another $4,000 can be raised to get Psittacosaurus unlocked (so long as this doesn't drop in support drastically). I'm sincerely hoping for it.

avatar_Agen Kolar @Agen Kolar I'm sorry I missed this earlier, but thank you for the well wishes, but he can't get better unfortunately. Message me if you want the details, since it isn't relevant to the discussion here.

It looks like we are tracking similar increases over the last few days, just $50,000 less than the raptors. I agree that we won't see the same steep increase, however I will say in the past hour or two we've started increasing more than I've seen it in a while. We'll get to Psittacosaurus before I go to bed here on the west coast.

Really nice to see David taking the effort to adjust the Sinoceratops to make it more accurate!  ;D
The colour of the new orbital protrusions is a bit weird though, since the rest of the protrusions are ivory coloured.

Another thing I've noticed, I wonder why David is using the tall back hump for Sinoceratops. Centrosaurines don't tend to have tall backs like most chasmosaurines do.(e.g. Utahceratops, Pentaceratops, Spiclypeus, Chasmosaurus)

(notice how a lot of chasmosaurs have angular arched backs, while centrosaurs have gentler slopes)
Centrosaur body shapes tend to be rounder, with their hips having a less dramatic slope/angle than chasmosaurs. I think the more subdued back hump that was used for Xenoceratops, Albertaceratops and Centrosaurus should be used for Sinoceratops, as it better reflects centrosaurine anatomy).

Wow, funding has gone up about $10,000 since last night! Let's hope this keeps moving. Also, it sounds like David was open to extending the Kickstarter via BackerKit. However, my understanding is only previous backers can participate in that - right?

Not sure what you mean, but from what I understand,
Backerkit survey = only available to Kickstarter backers for this campaign.
Backerkit store = available to everyone, but prices are higher.
I assume David means that both can contribute to further kickstarter goals.
