Goal achieved with more than 20 days to spare. I don't know about you, but I'd call that an unmitigated success!
*17 days to spare

Whatever. Still an unmitigated success.

QuoteAs for basal ceratopsians, I hope David will consider doing them after the Kickstarter. But I'm personally not holding my breath for them, we'll see how well the Ceratopsian kickstarter goes first.

I doubt it. If anything, he'll probably do some repaints or retools as he did with the raptors. Triceratops prorsus, for example.

On another note, there's still a ton of chasmosaurines and centrosaurines who got left in the cold. Off the top of my head: Arrhinoceratops, Anchiceratops, Agujaceratops, Bravoceratops, Coahuilaceratops, Eotriceratops, Judiceratops, Titanoceratops, Coronosaurus, Machairoceratops, Rubeosaurus, and Spinops. Oh, and Mercuriceratops, which was axed in favour of Spiclypeus.

I was so happy to wake up and see this campaign was finally funded. Now that means I'll certainly be getting all that I pledged for at the very least. I am still hoping for most of those others to get unlocked, especially the first four, and the Regaliceratops. Of course I also want all them unlocked too.

Edit: Come to think of it, did anyone post this update yet (look at the process, such as concept art, etc)?

If not, well uh, there it is. It's certainly relevant to our discussion of the figures that didn't make the cut unfortunately, but hopefully at some point in the future they'll get made.

I just wanted to say how proud I am of this community and everyone for showing such support for the campaign and getting it funded! It was so great reloading the page and seeing the number climbing up to over 150k, what an awesome thing to wake up to. ;D

Shonisaurus

BoTM nasutoceratops excites me is a figure with striking and pleasant colors at the same time as all David Silva figures. I am a follower of ceraptosides and I sincerely like that BoTM has made that line of those "Mesozoic rhinos" or "Mesozoic sheep" depending on how you look at it.

John

I'm happy for the success of the ceratopsian line getting the initial funding needed at least. And I'm very happy that the Styracosaurus albertensis model will actually see the light of day! That's the one I wanted most of all! ;D
Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

Sorry if this has been answered before, but let's say I pledge for the sub-adult Triceratops, and want to switch it for the Chasmosaurus, is that possible, or do I have to pledge separately?

You can pledge for the sub adult Triceratops for now and switch it to the Chasmosaurus once it unlocks. Just keep in mind that the Chasmosaurus is cheaper so unless you care to spend more then the price of it remember to change the amount of the pledge when you do so.

Edit: In case I wasn't clear enough you can change your rewards and pledge amount as many times as you want until the campaign ends.

There is also the choice to wait until the line will go on production and buy the figures you need directly from a shop (like Everything Dinosaurs or Dan's Dinosaurs), maybe for a total cheaper price (at least for European buyers, considering shipping prices ..  ;) ).
The same already happened to the Raptor line:

avatar_RobinGoodfellow @RobinGoodfellow David said the prices would be offered at a discount during the kickstarter to encourage those to jump on it sooner. And Everything Dinosaur is also handling the shipping of the figures for the kickstarter backers that live in the UK and EU (edit: if one lives there), so no need to really wait until after the kickstarter unless one just can't afford any/to pledge when the campaign ends.

Also right now as much funding as possible will help with unlocking further stretch goals (quite a ways to go if we want all them unlocked), now that the campaign has hit its goal, so I will definitely encourage backing the kickstarter now, if financially feasible, for anyone that wants these, as it will benefit everyone that wants any of those stretch goal figures in the end.

I am surprised to see that is not the case with Minizoo on the other hand since I know they are carrying the raptor figures currently for those in Australia, if not elsewhere. Those folks might need to wait unfortunately unless they can afford to do so now. If anyone would like me to ask about this, let me know, though I don't know if anything can come of it.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin  I pledged on almost all the raptor' figures on the original Kickstarter campaign: believe me, if  I had waited I would have saved a lot of money.
A USA Kickstarter campaign isn't a big deal for Europeans (mostly because of taxes and shipping prices).
;)

Faelrin

Yeah the previous campaign certainly didn't have that Everything Dinosaur thing in place which would have saved money for many folks, and probably made dealing with customs less of a hassle and/or less expensive (I live in the US so I don't much about how this works elsewhere in the world). Although thankfully it is an option now for this campaign, but again that will only help for folks located in the UK and EU and not other countries.

So basically those in the US, UK, and EU are probably going to be okay to pledge now. Might be cheaper for those elsewhere to wait though.

I think the fact that ED is handling the shipping for the UK/EU was what that convinced me to consider backing the campaign in the first place, rather than waiting until the figures were out in online shops.

To be fair though, if I was in the EU, I probably wouldn't have done that, as Brexit, especially if it ends up being no-deal, may affect ED's ability to handle shipping to there while also having reduced customs fees.

..don't forget Brexit.. if it happens, UK will be outside EU.. that means Customs fee again..  :-[

When should we expect an email asking for further details about our shipping address?

I imagine it will be soon after the campaign has ended.

At the end of KS campaign, when your money will be really collected.
Also after that you will be in time to change your address until figures will be ready to ship.

Faelrin

avatar_RobinGoodfellow @RobinGoodfellow Yeah good point about that. But since Everything Dinosaur is still the retailer for these figures in the EU, there might not be any way around that later unfortunately for those there, if that happens.

Maybe this is something I should discuss with David (and others) on the kickstarter? At the very least to make others aware?

avatar_tanystropheus @tanystropheus After the campaign ends (though possibly not immediately) you'll get sent a survey through backerkit where you can choose which addon figures (if any, and you can also spend more then for more which I plan to do for any of Wave 1 stetch goals if unlocked) and your address. Eventually the survery will be locked down (meaning you can't change or addon figures unless you message David on kickstarter), but you can change your address until like about a week or so before stuff is shipped. This is especially good as these figures can take a year or more (and even more so for the later wave figures if funded). Edit: Which is good because anyone could move in all that time.
