Oh, I used to own that. Also a T.rex, Triceratops and Ankylosaurus. They are based on Bullyland molds.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

A third Dimetrodon review this month:

Methinks the finned ferocity should have its own Genera page. :)

There are quite a few genera that should.

Libraraptor

Yeah, Dimetrodons rule the blog!

CityRaptor

Dimetrodon is like that cool uncle who shows up and who somehow gets mistaken for a Dinosaur.

I agree. I think there are several reviews not even tagged properly.

I know that the Carnegie Collection Ankylosaurus, for one, doesn't show up on the Genera page.

I've suggested to Adam that there be Genera pages for Dimetrodon, Pteranodon, and the woolly mammoth. Does anyone else have a suggestion?

Carnotaurus, Dilophosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, and Styracosaurus could all probably use a page.

If we go off popularity I agree that a few more animals are deserving.  Here is what could be added to the genera page.
Previouly mentioned
Dimetrodon: 15 reviews always been very popular
Pteranodon: 11 reviews always been very popular
Woolly Mammoth: 12 Reviews, well known mammal
Carnotaurus: 11 reviews, popularity growing
Dilophosaurus:  14 reviews, well known, thank you JP
Pachycephalosaurus: 15 reviews.  Not sure how popular of a dinosaur it is, but has been made in toy form a lot.
Styracosaurus: 17 reviews, unique and well known

I would also consider:
Acrocanthosaurus: 10 reviews, popularity on the rise
Apatosaurus / Brontosaurus: 19 reviews (22 if you include Brontosaurus) Classic!
Plesiosaurus / Plesiosaur: 9 Reviews, well known
Smilodon: Only 5 reviews, but very well known
Archaeopteryx: 3 Reviews so far, but classic and iconic
Deinonychus: 13 reviews, over looked due to Velociraptor, but still well known

Halichoeres

Y'all making it hard to keep the Twitter feed up.

My personal opinion is that some of the latest reviews for a while, even though they are carefully detailed and explained,as is to be expected, are about some (pardon) very terrible models, like these Dimetrodon and Pteranodon figures I've seen reviewed. They are very well done (the reviews) but,is it really necessary to review these models? i know the Blog has been very active for quite some time now,but I would rather focus on good-quality models?I,for instance, haven't seen a review of the new Bullyland Liopleurodon, nor the CollectA Lythronax or Thalassomedon, though I know they will be tackled eventually. My respect for all the reviewers, and I value the amount of time they take.

Gwangi

The blog is a database for all dinosaur toys, models, figures and collectables. The good, the bad, and the ugly. There is room for all. Also consider that there is a wide range of collectors out there. Some collect pteranodons, some collect old and vintage toys.

You also need to consider that none of us get paid to write these reviews and what we want to review we have to buy. We review what we have.

suspsy

By all means, if you don't enjoy the reviews being put up, don't read them. Problem solved.

As promised, another Pteranodon.

Its Definitely an old favorite. I still have mine and the Quetzalcoatlus too.
They were both ahead of their time. :)

I understand your concern but new models from the typical companies are being posted, the last one was on July 29th which was the Schleich Dunkleosteus.  Since then there have been 16 reviews, including the Recurs and a Nano block.  When I first started writing reviews, it was common to go a week before a new review.

To echo Gwangi, the blog covers all ages and types of prehistoric animals.  Some people read the blog for ideas on toys for their kids, for their own personal collection, or possibly for dioramas for educational use.  Also, thank you for the respect you have shown the reviewers,  we'll keep writing, so keep reading and checking it out, I am sure the Bullyland Liopleurodon, CollectA Lythronax, and Thalassomedon reviews will be coming up at some point.   :)

Where as I just stated that some newer models are coming, I still have some older ones that I am getting out of the way.
