Just wanna say that I value these written reviews as well. In fact, I was looking for a variety of thoughts about particular figures and these written reviews fleshed out opinions and views (scale, comparison shots, even snarky comments, etc) that none of the video reviews covered at all, even though there were like five of them, thereabouts.

So I appreciate these written ones as a resource I can use and refer to as well, when I need them. Pretty sure I rediscovered my love for dinosaurs through them, even before I discovered the video reviews.

So don't stop reviewing, don't stop writing!

I also really appreciate the written blog reviews with photos, comparisons, etc. For me, video reviews at their best are a tangential additional option aimed at different / overlapping audiences, but both relevant. It's true I don't usually engage with either video or blog reviews, but I definitely read reviews!

DTB reviews are what got me into PNSO figures, notably -- and I've often used them to decide whether to purchase a figure.

There's often just not that many reviews out there of a given figure, period, and that makes each one more valuable. Just one is rarely going to be enough. And the DTB reviews are usually more in-depth or address niche things, whereas I've usually seen video reviews skip over most subject I'm interested in but offer more of a "walkaround" of the details of the figure. Both are good, but one doesn't replace the other.

This is all very encouraging to hear, thanks everyone! You've all offered some insight that I had not considered before. The blog is certainly a better place to go for researching older figures, for example. It's good to know that the DTB still has value. I have a lot of love for that blog, it's also what got me into dinosaur collecting!

This is precisely what I've been telling you. There will always be an audience for the DTB even in this day and age.

It's still nice to hear it from the source.

1 stars from haters and 5 stars from blind fanboys probably cancel eachothers. So that might be a good thing for how majority feel about the toy.

A lot of pics online make the Captivz Monolophosaurus seem that it has a disproportionately short tail (possible due to the curve?). So was wondering if it looks more proportionate in hand.

It's a bit on the short and thin side. It's pretty faithful to the Camp Cretaceous design, for better or worse. Thanks for asking, I might edit the review now.

My Cameron will soon be finished. I just have to polish it and make some more pictures.

Nice, and thanks for the heads up, it's always hard to find info on these older toys. I will be reviewing the small Bullyland Ankylosaurus soon, so I'll see if there's anything about it in the site you recommended.

Update: and there it is! https://toyanimalwiki.mywikis.wiki/wiki/Bullyland_61355_Ankylosaurus

Yep, that's another 'Animal World Dinosaurs' figure: https://toyanimalwiki.mywikis.wiki/wiki/Bullyland_Animal_World_Dinosaurs The figures in this line are sometimes listed as "Bullyland Standard Dinoes[sic]" but this also redirects to the Animal World Dinosaurs page on the wiki. It can get really complicated but I think it's important to get it right.

Happy to help!

I updated my review of the Favorite Large Vinyl Dunkleosteus to include a shot side-by-side with the Soft Vinyl figure. I probably meant to do this a while ago and just forgot, but now it's there for additional reference.
