avatar_Gwangi @Gwangi Ah, I see what you mean. Well maybe summer comes around will change with the release of the Indominus rex, and give or take SC Blue at some point too.

I really hope they stock the Indominus.  :)) But what I'm really holding out for is the Brachiosaurus!

avatar_Gwangi @Gwangi I also find that photo pretty disheartening. That's about the same as what I've observed when I have visited Target lately.

I'm with you, avatar_Gwangi @Gwangi; I have nothing against rex, but it's getting tedious, and I'm definitely still feeling burned about Spino.
Still, as already mentioned, if we're definitely getting that battle-damaged version later this year, I feel better about it. I'm looking forward to that Brachiosaurus, too - I'll probably try to pre-order it in case we get a repeat of the Spino fiasco.

Gwangi

Honestly I wouldn't even mind having another rex but I told myself I was only getting one, and I did, the super colossal.

Anyone else as put off by this as I am? Seriously, five different Tyrannosaurus, and yet here I am without a Spinosaurus.  :-\

Has anybody else heard of a possible Moschops coming up for the Dino Rivals line? That would make my day.

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres I have heard about this a while back on reddit, when someone scanned a figure into a price checker at Target and it came up as this. I find it interesting they have it on a sticker now, and on the Protoceratops at that. It would be great if there is actually a Moschops coming out (and if it is done well).

Edit: Posted this in the Recent Acquisitions thread, but this information will likely be helpful to those that check this one out too.

I also came across this post on instagram which had some very interesting info about the distribution of these figures so far. Here it is:

https://www.instagram.com/p/BxF94nfFETs/

Apparently this batch of Attack Packs is the actual Wave 2 (might explain why so many are having success finding these in the states, at Walmart's at least, so far). The Coelurus and Herrerasaurus are mix in's for Wave 1 (which might explain why they have been hard to find for many, aside from probably being 1 per case, and why I ultimately needed to rely on amazon for them after no success after weeks of searching). If I had to guess it might have just been a matter of chance of what case retailers were receiving (alongside if their stock was selling enough for them to order new cases). I could be wrong though, but without more information it is hard to know exactly why those were so hard to find (for me at least). Apparently the Tapejara and Dimetrodon are also mix in's for Wave 1, but I luckily came across those in stores (though in both cases, I had already received mine from amazon). Yet again a case of poor distribution likely.

Another edit: I also recall seeing that the batch of roarivore repaints came in a box marked June 1 (though not street date locked) on instagram probably a bit back. Could also be helpful information to have, though doesn't guarantee they will be sold before or after then (since it determines on how current stock sells and if stores are ordering these cases, or can order them). If I had to guess the app will probably get an update by then, if not July. We shall see in the coming months though. I'll see if I can find that post and if I do, I'll link it here. Well the app updated today shortly after I made my previous post(s) here, funnily enough.

Here's an album on imgur I made of all the new figures in the app (if I didn't miss any) for a quick look at them:

No sign of the Allosaurus, Nasutoceratops, or Moschops. Possibly canceled or just placeholders? Or perhaps coming later?

I do think it is interesting we are getting another (green?) Dilophosaurus, and a raptor that seems to be based upon the Lost World raptor (possibly from the rumored story pack set with Ian), and another one that looks quite similar to the Destruct-A-Saurs one. The Battle Damage Spinosaurus is definitely a different color scheme from the original one. Hopefully there is images of the figures themselves soon enough.

Also interesting is that the Brachiosaurus is in fact going to have a scan code for the app. It is part of the mainline, but I had wondered it would not due to its size.

Dino Scream3232

Found the new attack packs today at Walmart. Grabbed Charlie and the Mussaurus. They put out 3 cases. The Proceratosaurus is coming in from Amazon on weds. My Walmart shrunk down their display but I'm happy they are stocking the new figures. The Mussaurus is my favorite Attack Pack figure so far. Enjoy the review!!

The neck looks weird. Strikes me as too thin.
It does look really weird to me too, a lot of these dinosaurs have a weird sleekness about them (not all of them do, perhaps they share the same sculptor who likes skinny dinos?) but at least we can be pretty confident that it won't be structurally bad. These guys are very well made.

I've had some issues with the joints on my JWFK figures though, but thats what I call my "left leg curse".
Whenever I buy a dinosaur like that, the left leg always seems to become loose for some reason. This has happened with:
-WWD Gorgon
-Indoraptor
-JWFK Pachycephalosaurus (but the opposite here, cos in this case it's too tight to move)
-Both Hasbro Indominus rexes
-Primeval raptor
-JP Velociraptor
and many more, including human figures.  :'(

Faelrin

avatar_Dilopho @Dilopho My Legacy Pachycephalosaurus also has a left leg that is too tight. My Indoraptor also has a loose leg (left side, mostly in regards to the in and out motion it has, which does make it hard to take any stance other then on all fours).

My green BD monolophosaurus has a loose left leg too.
Im so glad we're finally getting another green dilophosaurus! Hopefully its not too bright a green color!

that mussaurus reminds me of Baby from Secret of the Lost Dinosaur.  :o

MLMjp

I hope that second Dilophosaurus is another savage Strike figure and not an attack pack repaint. Because it looks miles better than the purple one even if we haven't fully seen it.

As for the rest, repaints, retools, and more repaints. Boring, but hey, money saved.

PD: I am actually considering getting Delta despite considering it an insult (Seriously, turquoise green or grey instead of yellow and it would have been good ::)) and try to repaint it, gonna be difficult to recreate the blue patters if I actually do it..

I still am annoyed they finally released the JP3 raptor and don't give it the movie colours.
Asides from Blue, I'd say it's the most iconic JP Velociraptor design in terms of colouration.

We have a kenner-inspired one, we have brown ones for the JP1 raptors, the mural raptor, the male raptors from the lost world (and stand-ins for the one green raptor in that movie), we have a shoddy but still viable attempt at the JP3 Alpha female and now the jurassic world raptors. Why leave one out??

(in case you don't know which raptor I mean, in the scene where Sarah falls off the roof and barely escapes the two Velociraptors because they start bickering, one of them is a striped male and the other one is green. Maybe just due to lighting, like how the T. rex in JP1 is brown but appears both grey and green in other scenes.)

edit: You know, just the colours here annoy me in general. I know not to expect much, but they tend to be really underwhelming... Even the fact that the claws usually go unpainted. They could at least do a wash or something on the figures instead of this scale effect they give them, as nice as that looks.

Extra paint costs money, beter paint on a fig this size ups the figure to 9.99 or more, thats just not going to happen.

Dilopho

I know it's not gonna happen but it leaves them looking so bland, especially since they're often in weird colours anyway...

Loon

I checked out the app and does anyone else find it weird that they still haven't removed the Destruct-a-Saurs Dimetrodon and the 2 cancelled legacy figures?

I just noticed, 2 of the dino rivals raptors added are the Destruct-a-Saurs and Legacy TLW raptors. The app's had mistakes before, but who knows.
