Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Well, I really can't recall ever having spent this much time and effort in pursuit of a piece of plastic!, but as of today I have given up trying to get hold of the Battle Damage Plesiosaurus in the country where it is supposed to be available at present (Australia) after haunting Target stores here, repeated contact with their customer service and phone calls to the nearest stores, checking out a web site that is next to useless as far as options are concerned and finding that even the listings on Amazon now have the 'we don't know when or if this item will be back in stock' message on the listings!

I am now hoping that someone in a country where these actually appear on the shelves will be able to help me out when they are released there. Really did my best to support a local business but they are their own worst enemies here so should not complain about online retail hurting local stores.

Mattel said 17 species, there is only 15 here so there are two more to be revealed, what could they be...But for know let's focus on what we have and try to guess what's comming.
1. That silhouette just screams Majungasaurus, I will be extremely surprised if it is not.
2. A big theropod with three fingers, most likely a carnosaur, probably a carcharodontosaurid. Some say it could be a Giga, a Carcha...or something else.
3. Edmontosaurus, already confirmed. Looks very nice.
4. Unidentifiable.
5. Looks like Sarcosuchus to me...
6. Alioramus, already confirmed. Looks alright.
7. Clearly an Scutosaurus.
8. An iguandontid, if it is an Iguanodon I hope the size of the silhouette is not an indicative of it's true size cause it should be bigger.
9. Either Postosuchus, Ornithosuchus or Saurosuchus.
10. A spinosaurid, if the gap in the sail is intentional, then it is an Ichthyovenator, if it is for articulation, it could also be an Irritator.
11. The shape of the skull reminds me of a tyrannosaur, but the relatively high spine and spikes tell me that it could be an Acrocanthosaurus with an inaccurate head, which wouldn't be surprising. We cannot see how many fingers it has so...
12. Unidentifiable.
13. Sinoceratops. What if Mattel sells it as a Pachyrhinosaurus since they already sold a "Sinoceratops"?
14. Very difficult to identify but to me it looks like an ankylosaurid because of the head.
15. Cryolophosaurus. Already confirmed. Don't like the rather bulky skull, body and that weird neck crest. It should be slimmer.

Nice rundown! If I remember correctly, in the novel the Gallimimus scene featured Hadrosaurus instead. Could that be number 8?
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Appalachiosaurus

Nipponosaurus was featured briefly in Jurassic World in the Innovation Center, given that we have had obscure references to canon like Proceratosaurus and Coelurus before, it wouldn't surprise me if that was enough for Mattel to make a toy of one.

ItsTwentyBelow

My guess for #4 is a small ornithopod, probably Dryosaurus or Othnelia, to further fill in the other canon dinosaurs. That would be cool!

terrorchicken

^Id love anything for 4 that isnt another theropod! Id like more non-dinosaurs too. 9 could be ornithosuchus since there was one in the old Kenner line.

triceratops83

I haven't heard anyone getting excited for it, but the Super Colossal Blue is starting to turn up on Ebay.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

I've had  a preorder in through Amazon and EE which just got filled yesterday. It's a very detailed piece like most of the line and would be great to repaint as any other raptor too.

CityRaptor

Pretty much. Basically more or less every Raptor expect the male JPIII Raptor....including of course the Big One! Now she truely would be the Big One.

Also realized something: The Baryonyx from the new set is basically Baryonyx GEN 2 from Jurassic World Alive.

The Battel Damage Baryonyx set is up for sale on Walmart. Only $20!! Didn't think we would see this set so quickly after SDCC. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Jurassic-World-Battle-Damage-Ultimate-Baryonyx-Breakout/784836603

Despite not being a super huge fan of the teeth(seriously dinosaur companies, you can make the teeth separate without them being sharp instruments of death to toddlers), I went ahead and pre-ordered the Amber Collection Velociraptor from Gamestop.  Wonder how it'll look on my shelf.
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

There's now an in package shot of the grey Dual Attack Triceratops. Seems darker then what it was at NY Toy Fair this year.

Compared to what we saw earlier:

Quite frankly I like the darker coloration more though I am fine with either really.

Also I am defnitely getting Hammond. Even if he gets another release this is the one I want. Plus I want it for when the Brachiosaurus is released here.

Well, if nothing else, the new Dual Attack Allosaurus, Nasutoceratops and Concavenator showed up in a local TRU! I...just don't need them. But I keep hoping that means other ones that are more interesting (to me) will pop up.

The shipping for an item that small is absolutely ridiculous. But I guess it saves around $20-$25 if your buying from EE, compared to buying from filthy scalpers on Ebay.

I tried to see if the shipping cost could be distributed among a few items by adding the Indominus to my cart, but when I proceeded to add the Hammond figure, the shipping cost still shot up by $17. How does that even make sense? ??? Surely the employees at EE can simply slot Hammond's box in the large empty space underneath the Indominus's tail?
