Making a diorama with Mamenchisaurus or Yangchuanosaurus and need some plausible trees? Try a cedar on for size. Here are two tree species described from their trunks, which show a feature called [checks notes] "Abietineentüpfelung," which is characteristic of conifers. (The "Abie-" part is from the genus name for some modern firs.) These two species are both in the genus Protocedroxylon ("first cedar wood").
