Hi everyone!

As many of us know...PNSO has returned and is releasing many highly anticipated models we had been looking forward to for months or years. That being said the PNSO Spinosaurus has been one of my top 3 must haves of PNSO but i was dissapointed by the final product that we got. Nevertheless i have decided to repaint it as best as i could.

This has been my second repaint ive ever done on a dinosaur model. i wanted to repaint this one and i have a feeling i'll be repainting the Giganotosaurus and the next painting project for me which will be the amargasaurus to look like what it should've been. Im really happy with the results I'm at 95% completion but couldn't hold my excitement to show it! enjoy!  ^-^

Finally (almost) finished the PNSO Giga just a couple more things to do but I am excited to show you guys what has been done so here it is!

BRONSON

Thats a lot better it has more depth to the paint, I like the tattoo it has on its sail.

Ceratosaurus

I wonder where you got the inspiration for the design. Clearly a case of wanting a particular figure so badly for too long. I wouldn't trust myself painting a figure of that kind of price. Looks pretty good though.

It looks really good. I would be very nervous repainting a figure like that but it ended up looking better

i want them to look like what we thought was gonna be theit final product.I tried my hand at it and hoped it would look ok and it wasnt as bad or hard as the Carcha but yea. i took inspiration from PNSO's original paint app

Ceratosaurus

I wonder why they changed their mind on the paint job. I don't mind the new version, just wish it highlighted the sail a bit more. For the record when mine arrives it will not be repainted. There would need to be a lot of practicing before hand.

after repainting my Carcharodontosaurus resin kit i learned alot by making alot of mistakes that i shouldve honestly learned with a bootleg but it turned out ok i guess. The spino isnt half bad to me. im actually pretty satisfied with it. The only issue i have is maybe a little bit less blue grey paint in between and more scarce but it turned out alright. most of it was dry brushing which made it alot easier to control where the paint went.

It seems to be a thing with PNSO, I had a grumble about it on another PNSO topic, showing pictures of the box photo and the much less well painted model inside, why cant they just put whats on the inside on the outside of the box, people would still buy it, I would be furious if when I got my last car I had paid for leather seats and cruise control and it came with neither.

Not crazy about this figure, and honestly I don't understand that much praise from everyone. It looks very skinny to me, especially the neck is way too thin, makes the lower jaw looking unnatural. Good repaint tho'.

R @Reptilia You are right in your affirmations. Sincerely the PNSO spinosaurus is a very beautiful figure but for me my favorite spinosaurus is without a doubt the spinosaurus of Papo 2019 limited version.

BRONSON

Lets just hope that Papo dont do the same trick as PNSO and advertise a beautifilly painted model and then palm you all off with something much more duller and less detailed, something for you all to consider first.

Shonisaurus

If the spinosaurus of Papo 2019 (limited version) is equal or better to the therizinosaurus and quetzalcoatlus in terms of finishing and painting, I give myself a song in the teeth.

If Encambio is of equal quality as the Tyrannosaurus running brown and the allosaurus repainted Papo 2019 will be a disappointing figure. We hope that Papo is serious in this aspect and does not disappoint us.

Bokisaurus

Wow, very nice and really makes it regal looking. I, too, wished that they went with the version with an eyespot, good job on recreating it!

woa how did you get ahold of my work in progress photo 😂

I really hope the Giganotosaurus ends up looking somewhat similar to this

and not this

otherwise it'll force me to paint it to look like the original.

Shonisaurus

By the way, for now, PNSO is very stopped in terms of news after the commercialization of its beautiful spinosaurus.

Syndicate Bias

Im sure we will hear from them very soon if not then a month or two from now. They have been pretty consistent with their releases so we will see

PhilSauria

I for one am quite happy for there to be gaps between the new releases - these models are not inexpensive and I would be hard pressed to fund purchases of a number of PNSO models in a short period of time!, much as I would like to.
