It is basically a tradition to this point that Mattel´s toys for the next year appear earlier than they should.

And of course I have not got all the Dino rivals that I wanted. Thankfully these won't show up in my country until much later on, but still, the fact that the new stuff is already appearing somewhere is very stressing.

Can´t a collector take a break??

Ornitholestes pre-order up in Amazon now:

Jurassic World Attack Pack Ornitholeste https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VWCJTVQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_JrUVDb8G38M8W

Also here's a look at the Ornitholestes and Callovosaurus out of the packaging:

Edit: I'm also not too terribly surprised the new Attack Packs and new rex have been found now which is what happened last year with the Dino Rivals Attack Packs. I expect the new Savage Strikes, Sound Strikes, Massive Biters, and new Carnotaurus should be out by January when the big toy reset happens after the holidays (at least here in the states).

Callovosaurus looks fantastic for a Jurassic World figure and seems to scale well with the other figures. Love the colors, and the species is a nice nod to Jurassic Park source material.

suspsy

I may actually pick up the Callovosaurus for my son's collection, but I'll tell him it's Iguanodon or Mantellisaurus instead.

Love how that Callovosaurus looks!
Will definitely pick it up when it shows up locally.

I'm gonna buy Siats Meekerorum for sure. I also hope CollectA makes one.
Shrek 4 is an underrated masterpiece

The Ornitholestes doesn't do it for me. It looks rather dull (as opposed to say, Coelurus). However, it's always great to have more hadrosaurs or iguanodonts in the collection. A decade ago, species such as Mantellisaurus and Callovosaurus were unheard of in toy form. Of course, none of these iguanodonts have appealing colors but I suppose that's asking too much.

I gotta say, I love the Ornitholestes paint and it looks nice with its mouth closed

I still think mattel needs help with the art style and proportions for anatomy sculpting, the toys are losing some of that natural charm that was typically synonymous with Jurassic

There is a greenish gray Primal Attack Albertosaurus on the Jurassic World Facts app which I don't think we've seen yet. I wonder if it would have action functions this time, although I personally do not buy repaints.

A wave of the new figures including Tarbosaurus and Sarcosuchus are on there now too so I guess people could start finding them in the coming weeks.

Finally tracked down the Callovosaurus and Ornitholestes at Target today. They only had two Dracorex repaints on the peg. I asked the employee working the aisle if they had more in the back. Thankfully they did. I really like the Callovosaurus even though it looks nothing like a Dryosaur. However it's a nice iguanadon style figure. https://youtu.be/GgVUvO1-z5g

D @Dino Scream3232 Congrats on finding those now. I really do like the Callovosaurus myself, I do agree that it is a nice little iguanodontid figure.

And come to think of it I forgot to post the out of box pics I got of those (including a comparison pic between the orange and new green Dracorex). Also please ignore that cat food crumb there. I didn't even realize it was there when I took the pic, sorry. I also received my new chomping rex today from Amazon.

Edit: Also in case anyone wasn't aware, and just in case this wasn't mentioned here yet, the Callovosaurus and Ornitholestes were actually species from the novels.

Here's the new rex in the box (and pics of the box, which feature the same pics of the rex that were on the 2018 Legacy one, just slightly recolored to match with this toy):

Our first look at the new Savage Strikes on any packaging (and some old):

I also did two size comparison pics with the 2018 and green 2019 EC rex figures, and one with this new rex and the Indominus rex (as well as my cat Lucky, who was trying to play with the tails of the figures).

Dino Scream3232

Thanks avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin. I'm happy I can cross them off the list. I believe the Callovosaurus was used in certain regions of the books release. Used instead of orthnelia I believe. My primal attack Rex is coming today. I'm done with Rex's after this. I would like to see a BNF size with the legacy articulation if a completely redesigned Rex with better portions. We've seen the same mold 4 times (5 if you count the Dino rivals legacy repack) in a year and half of the line.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin I'll trade you all my figures for that magnificent cat.

avatar_Silvanusaurus @Silvanusaurus She is quite a gorgeous kitty. I really appreciate having her around now that I no longer have my boy with me.

Anyways, in case anyone is interested, and is in the US, the Control N Conquer Carnotaurus is now available on Walmart (for $24.99):

Blade-of-the-Moon

It's a little larger than the original but looks softer on detail?

Gwangi

I won't buy it because it's too similar to the other Carnotaurus, but I also wish I didn't have that other Carnotaurus because I really want this one. :-\

Blade-of-the-Moon

I like my original best, I do wish it made sound but the color seems more...well..better? I guess I'll look at it in person on the shelf.

Pros: Eyes are better than the old one. Color scheme is more accurate to the movie.
Cons: He is bigger, and his proportion are somewhat worse because of the rather big head and short tail, also a bit more expensive

Conclusion: I am perfectly fine with the original.

I definitely plan on picking this one up, because of the film accurate color scheme (even if it is a bit out of a scale), aside from Carnotaurus being one of my favorite dinosaurs anyways, and I could always use more in my collection.

The fact it seems to have movie accurate sound effects too is a plus for me, and I'm sure my nieces will get a kick out those features it has.

Edit: First look at the Savage Strike Sauropelta (images from Collect Jurassic's twitter). I'm really glad they made this one. The fact it has a red color scheme is interesting, and not too unbelievable what with Borealopelta having something similar (though probably less bright).
