The Edmontosaurus and Deinonychus are now in stock on Safari's website!  Oddly, the Concavenator still doesn't appear on Safari's website.  Maybe it will when it comes into stock.

Finally. I don't know if I'm the only one, but my heart got played the other day when I got in stock alerts for the remaining 2020 line (sans concavenator) from Safari only to find nothing in stock.

Placed my order with safari on Xmas night. Got 25% off on the Deinonychus, Pachyrhinosaurus, and Edmontosaurus. Plus another 15% using a promo code. They came to $39.50 before shipping!!

The Shringasaurus and Dilophosaurus are out! Just waiting on that Quinzhousaurus......(not the Concavenator, don't like it)

I'll almost certainly be picking up that Edmontosaurus - the promo picture looks GORGEOUS!  My money is on that being this year's DTF hit from Safari.  The Deinonychus and Pachycephalosaurus may well be coming home too.  I'll wait and see what I think when the reviews and in-hand pics come in, tho...

Several of the others would probably appeal to me given a lick of new paint, but given that my repaint queue is already miles long I'll probably be holding off on those for longer.

Oh wow! The Sarcosuchus came out way better than what I imagined! Anyone have this model? It seems to rival Safari's best (including their Postosuchus) as far as lifelike realism.

Wowsers!  I'll definitely consider getting this one.  It's definitely captured an implacable but inherent crocodile-ness, and that's a good thing.

I guess I can put my review of the Pachycephalosaurus here too: https://www.instagram.com/p/B6iEnEZlSYB/
(Yes, I am a teenager. Not a kid. I just sound younger)
As I get more of Lineup I will put the reviews on here.

It is the best sarcosuchus made to date in the toy dinosaur market. I congratulate Doug Watson for the umpteenth time.

Love the antediluvian expression on its face.

What's with the gaping nostrils on the Sarcosuchus?

Crocs can open and close them as needed and the size of the nostrils is accurate in terms of skull size. Truly in crocs they are not different in color from the rest of the snout scutes, they may look darker when opened because they are hollow. The artist's choice of dark color makes them more visible, yes, I agree. I don't mind.

By the way, I think it looks fantastic, and it's really large and well fed. Another for my long list of this year's figures ...  ::)

I don't recall seeing any crocodilian expanding their nostrils to that extent though. And while the figure's nostrils perfectly matches up with the size of the cavity in the skull; modern crocodilians from my observation hardly if ever reflect the entire size of the nostril cavity, with soft tissue covering much of the hole, and only tiny slits that are capable of opening and closing.

(Notice the large nasal cavity on the skull, and compare that to the living specimen. A large nasal gape is not present.)

This brings the question: Is there any evidence that suggests Pholidosaurids having extreme nostril gapes? Or could this be a potential inaccuracy of the sculpt?

Faelrin

That Sarcosuchus is definitely a must have for me after seeing it in that review (even if I still planned on getting it before), because I don't think the promo images just did this figure justice enough (which has happened with me and a few of their other figures, such as the 2017 Parasaurolophus).

Blade-of-the-Moon

Just received my Christmas Eve gift to myself today.

Love the "battle damage" on the Pachy's head.

Probably the most bird-like ( in look ) dinosaur toy I have now

Edmontosaurus is beautifully big , the paint does differ from one side to the other though

Picked up the Spino finally too, it is very crocodillian overall and the sail is pretty thin.  That said it's big, the pose easily looks like a floating croc  and the teeth are sharp/detailed overall.  If this had come out around the same time as CollectA's it would have sold so much better  I think.

Thanks for the in-person shots, avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon.  As I thought they would, the Edmontosaurus and Deinonychus look amazing.  I love the piercing, birdlike eye of the latter.  I also love that the Pachycephalosaurus has some evidence of head trauma - I hadn't noticed that on the stock photo.  Palaeopathology is definitely something I'd like to see reflected more in figures, although maybe some example wouldn't be considered child-friendly. >:D  Needless to say, I can't wait for these to become available on Everything Dinosaur!  RIP funds for other hobbies. :))

Stuckasaurus (Dino Dad Reviews)

Thanks for the pics, avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon! Can you share any pics of them with other models, so I can get a better sense of size?
Also, I only just now noticed that the Spinosaurus and Sarcosuchus have similar color schemes! That's kinda cool; one could imagine a "backstory" for these figures, maybe one of the Kem Kem selecting for convergent color schemes in animals associated with riparian environments?  ;D

The Edmontosaurus is basically what we've wanted for years from the Carnegie line , at least since those SUE minis were made. Granted it's more accurate than the one then ( but I still like it ;) ) .  The Deinonychus  is again I think what everyone has been asking for. No screeching attack pose, just basically a bird walking around checking things out.  Cant get much more natural.  I love scars and damage, I know most want pristine/prime of life figures, but the damage tells a story and gives you something to show and tell.

What other models?  I have a lot but I know everyone's collections vary.

I think the coloration basically just drives home how crocodile-like Spino is.  If it were me and I wanted to stand out in the market, I would retire this one next year and have Doug take the same model and just add feathers to it.  I know it's not proven but it would look neat and be different from all the other croco-spinos out there.

Thanks for the photographs, the edmontosaurus and deinonychus are perhaps the most dazzling figures of this group of figures that you have acquired, without the rest ceasing to be figures of outstanding quality. I'm glad for you and hopefully soon in Europe those beauties of figures are sold.
