avatar_Martwad @Martwad In the case of the Minizoo dinosaurs, it seems that the shipment is being transported by sea, so I will have to wait 6 to 8 weeks to receive the package in case it is lost.

In the case of the Japanese seller of eBay it will be a miracle that he will return the money spent to buy that dinosauroid since it has been several months, exactly since March but I will speak with eBay and Paypal.

avatar_Neosodon @Neosodon I congratulate you on your two new acquisitions, sincerely you lengthen my fangs seeing those two beauties (baryonxy and fukuisaurus) especially when I have ordered them in March and I suppose that I will have to wait in the best case for several months for those figures to be delivered to me, Although for me the most coveted figure is the Collecta Bajadasaurus, which is a true beauty and delicacy.

I keep browsing boring on ebay and have found only the Collecta 2020 saltriovenator and megalodon available, the provider is from South Korea I pass the links to you,

I've bought from this seller many times. Very reliable. Shipping to Colorado, USA, was usually 2-3 weeks, pre-covid.

My order from Minizoo finally made it to me! Very excited to add these collectA figures to the collection. Please forgive the weird focus in these images. New camera, still trying to figure out the settings.

avatar_Carnoking @Carnoking I'm not seeing any of your images. It looks like you're using Google Photos, but I think the URLs you're posting will only work for someone signed into your Google account. I've never used Google photos, but if there's some way to find the actual image address (it will end in something like .jpg or .png), that's what you'll want. Alright, we're trying flickr now!

Martwad

Google photos works, but you have to share each individual photo.  Sharing the album doesn't appear to actually share to the public.

Minizoo's getting the rest of the Collecta releases in two batches, one in July and one in August.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Yes, the sea creatures will arrive this month and then the rest of the prehistoric toys will arrive in August.

I was wondering when those may make it to retail (at least online). Good to see it would be soon.

Edit: I'm still willing to wait and see if either Dejankins or Happy Hen Toys will get these in stock in the US however. I still have a bit of catching up to do with this brand anyways, so perhaps I would be better off doing that anyways before worrying about the new releases (although I still ought to pick up the Orthoceras at least as I do still want to review that one for the blog).

eBay seller friendino78 is offering all 2020 CollectA figures.
https://www.ebay.de/sch/friendino78/m.html?item=224059614683&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

Neither will I order from there nor from Minizoo. I'm not a fan of the "three-months-on-a-boat-across-the-sea" shipping option.
I can wait until they will be available in Germany (which probably will be sooner anyway).

I second that. The Allosaurus and the Mapu got better with every time i looked at the pictures.

Well... this is depressing. New local CollectA stand.
I am still baffled as to why CollectA absolutely refuses to retire their decade old sculpts, especially ones from the "Procon" days.
Retailers then proceed to stock these ugly old models again, and again, and wonder why people don't buy them.

There are a few newer releases, but it's really sad to see the shelf dominated by lumpy, poorly sculpted freaks of nature, rather than the fantastic new sculpts CollectA has been giving us in recent years.

It's not just CollectA. Safari also continues to produce older products. Their featherless Velociraptor is probably still more widely available than the 2017 feathered one.

Bottom line: as long as certain items continue to sell well, retail stores will continue to restock them and manufacturers will continue to produce them.

I feel like the only reason the old uglies keeps "selling well" is because retail stores constantly, and only restock these outdated figures. As retailers don't bother updating their stock list and keeps ordering the same tired old figures again, and again, and again.
Giving companies the illusion that the older products sell well compared to the newer, superior ones.

You're probably right. Not much that can be done about it, sadly.

You're rigt with that. To be fair, the scutosaurus,  and pretty much the whole carnegie collection, including the amazing 2011 carnotaurus, giganotosaurs, miragaia, 2009 spinosaurus etc is also retired. Those were like the golden age of safari, altough 2017-2019 is amazing. I know this seems very unpopular but 2020 is one of my least favorite years since 2010 in terms of safari figures.

Dinoxels

Surprised this seems to be common with a lot of museum displays. Mine is just a bit of Old Safari Ltd. (pre 2010), Very little Papo, a good deal of Schleich, and a lot of recent Safari Ltd. In fact they had the Pteranodon and the Spinosaurus from 2019 a few months prior to their release. CollectA seems to get glossed over in the U.S..

S @SidB I'd take that over what the LA Natural History Museum carries. Our gift shop is stuffed with Jurassic World figures and nothing else.

avatar_Stegotyranno420 @Stegotyranno Well, there's a different reason for most of the figures you listes being retired. The Carnegie figures weren't retired because they weren't selling well, but because Safari and the Carnegie Museum ended their contract.
