Gravid or Pregnant technicality

When there's an animal that isn't a mammal but it doesn't lay eggs (e.g. Dunkleosteus, boas, Temnodontosaurus) do you say it's gravid or it's pregnant?

I've seen 'gravid' used for nothosaurs (live-birthers) in the technical literature.

Either is correct according to the usages I've seen. Gravid is convenient as a catch-all because it refers to either eggs or live-borne young. Here's an example with an oviparous gecko described as gravid:
