WOOOAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's beautiful! Finally, the Spinosaurus I've been waiting for. Such an improvement over their original, which I really, really did not like. I love how this one doesn't overdo it with any crocodilian details, and the tail looks beautiful. It's funny, it does look a bit like the Safari version with those colors. The only issue I have is the claws touching the ground, but I'm guessing it's more for balance than implying that it's putting weight on them like the Papo figure.

One question though, what's up with those claws were they really that long?

avatar_Loon @Loon You genius! How did you predicted it?

You're right, what's up with the claws?

This spinosaurus is the definitive one. Wow. It is much better than it was listed, it far exceeds all the scientific spinosaurus one hundred percent like the one from GR Toys. He is a very great figure. When it will be commercialized. By the way, on Aliexpress they comment that if you buy the figure and reserve it in your basket for November 11, they will give you a discount. At least that is what I think I understand.

It gives the impression that again this year it will be that of the spinosaurus as it was in 2018 and even in 2019 as it happened in the two versions of spinosaurus from GR Toys. It is very good news. I'm excited. It's honestly better than its initial spinosaurus for a reason, this one looks like a figure with remarkable stability which is not the case with Essen. Magnificent figure. When can you buy on Aliexpress? I hope to reserve it for purchase on November 11th. It's a full year for PNSO. I am in love with this great and incomparable scientific dinosaur brand. I guess there are at least 3 more figures to be revealed. What I notice, although DTF members have already pointed out that their claws are excessively long, that would honestly make it impossible for that figure to hunt and even to survive but it is still a conjecture of mine, since as it is supposed to live in water it would not be difficult to survive in the water.

Size? Price?  and also I KNEW IT, HOLY CITIPATI ITS TRUE!!!

avatar_Loon @Loon Holy crap you and everyone else thinking it was a Spinosaurus was right.

My god this beast is glorious and beautiful. Almost makes me regret shelling out for Papo's last year. The only "downside" for me is the now outdated knuckle drag pose, but honestly it is probably hard to get a figure of this standing without a base and/or tripod stance of sorts because of those short legs. Now the wait until there's in hand pics and/or reviews on it.

I'm also curious to see what Safari Ltd's will look like and if CollectA has a new one in store. Though I think this may be the definitive one for me. I love that color scheme.

Hard for me to tell but it looks like they got the feet right too? Webbing and weight bearing first digit? I'm really hoping they did at least.

And there's still the Parasaurolophus and tyrannosaur in the reveals from Dan's Dinosaur that have yet to be revealed yet. So there's still at least two more left, if not a few more. Man has PNSO been rocking with these reveals.

Honestly, I think I saw somebody say it could be Spinosaurus earlier in the thread. Looking at it then, I couldn't see it as anything else. Though, I did try to force a Nasutoceratops into that silhouette, didn't work out though.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin Thanks, also, I think the claws aren't being implied as weight bearing in any sense. They're just touching to ground to keep balance, kind of like Safari's Feathered Velociraptor's wing. It doesn't look like the claws are curling or holding up any pressure like in the Papo figure. I mean, it makes sense to me, I can only imagine what a nightmare it would be to get a modern, bipedal Spinosaurus to stand.

UPDATE: Actually you're right, it is knuckle walking. I didn't pay attention to the the right hand.

I am speechless

Whats the scale? How big is it? HOW BIG IS IT I NEED TO KNOW!

Please, this Spinosaurus is almost perfection and if it is smaller than 1:40 I will fall into the deepest depression.

KeU

Wow! PNSO is really sucking the wallet dry. And we have not gotten to the Tyrannosaurus or Parasaurolophus yet.
Getting a sequel to the Spino release wave this quickly is a pleasant surprise.
Apart from the right arm being a knuckle support, the rest of the body looks really good.
And the comparison to the Pachyrhinosaurus, it looks to be of favorable length.
I wonder if the new Spino will keep the Essien name.
May I dare hope for a new Giganotosaurus too?

Well that certainly came out of left field! Yep, put me down for one.

PNSO is my favorite manufacturer these days, with 27 of their figures on my shelves and that number sure to grow over the next few months.

To paraphrase: "think I'm gonna need a bigger shelf!"

PS. Come on Safari Ltd - don't be so coy. Mucking about with silhouettes and close crops while PNSO (& Eofauna and CollectA) just put their new releases out there.

Skorpio V.

DANG, apart from the hands that do look pretty big and the claws that are in major need of a clipping, this is easily the best Spinosaurus out there. Would have preferred a greener colour scheme because of their aquatic/crocodile likeness, but this definitely works too.

Totally thought that was the GR Toys/Musee Studio Spinosaurus when I saw it on my phone. This is Mojo/Papo Running Rex level similarities, and people accuse MOJO of knocking off the Papo... just sayin'...

Jose S.M.

I really like most of the figure, just curious how they got the updated tail but kept the knuckle walking since I think that hypothesis has fallen out of favor. Probably will get this one, we have yet to see th Safari one but it seems it would be smaller than this one.

Since their Pachyrhinosaurus is about 15 cm long, It should be anywhere from 40-50-ish cm long ;D

Looking at this Spinosaurus more, this may be a bit pricey. It is pretty big compared to the pachyrhinosaurus. At first I did not notice it walking on its knuckles, which now it is really starting to bother me. This is such a beautiful figure though. Gosh I can't decide, but due to the possibility of it being pricey, I'll just wait for Safari's reveal.
Also:
How is Aliexpress? I am in the United States. Is it better for me to be using amazon or aliexpress for PNSO figures?

It looks very little alike. The only similarities are the tail and the sails being very thin (I would say far too thin realistically, but almost every Spinosaurus suffers from this).

The PNSO has more naturalistic proportions overall, it doesn't use the inaccurate palm walking posture, and it has a speculative depiction of the unpreserved(?) claw being extremely reduced. The colours are also not very similar, the PNSO colours look more like the Safari ltd Spinosaurus than the GR Toys one.

Not to mention that this looks far better than the GR toys one.

Hmmm... Looks like my picture was famous enough for the Paleo Need site to post without giving any credit... Cool!

Absolutely, yes. The GR Toys is still a well made Figure.

This PNSO really looks phenomenal. To me, this "Knuckle issue" isnt really an Issue. It is just a quick movement, not walking at all. So i guess this is managable. Spines are too thin but hey! We really do not know, and it is still a beatiful Figure. And it really isnt THAT bad. What a Day.

EDIT: Congrats avatar_Loon @Loon! Your prediction is well done. No wonder :)

triceratops83

I like how smooth and streamlined it looks. Hopefully Spinosaurus doesn't change appearance for a while.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

I don't really see any similarities, completely different paint job, completely different pose, completely different anatomy, the PNSO one being more anatomically accurate with the head shape and all and the GR Toys one rests weidly on its nimble fingers while the PNSO one on its knuckles although that too is unlikely.
Not to mention that the GR Toys one has very pronounced osteoderms.

I totally agree.

And I think PNSO Spino looks way better than GR Toys one.
