Scar the Sinotyrannus. Note the scar on his face and, though you probably can't tell, I made the pupil much paler than normally since he is blind through that eye.

He got it with the scar. Patch's father clawed him in the face.

How's it going?
Good, but I haven't had enough time to start writing it yet. Hopefully soon.

Today I finished the first chapter (finally). Later I will post it as a preview for my book. I will also start some of my other drawings for this book soon.

Okay, here's the first chapter, hope you like it:

China. 125 million years ago. The Cretaceous Period. A large theropod is tending to her eggs. She is a Yutyrannus. A 30 foot feathered tyrannosaur. She carefully picks up one of the eggs in her jaws and cracks the shell, allowing the hatchling to climb out. She lowers her head and allows the hatchling to climb down. This would be the only egg to hatch, all the others were eaten by Repanomamus, an early predatory mammal. In the tree above is Crow, a Microraptor. The four-winged, black creture glides over to another tree to snatch a Xianglong, a gliding lizard.
Nearby,  Hongshanosaurus is eating some of the ferns that litter the forest floor. The hatchling Yutyrannus, Patch, looks around at his strange new world. Spotting the huge trees, the ferns and cycads, the mushrooms and other fungi on the forest floor. Then he sees something unexpected: a Sinotyrannus. Another large tyrannosaur, even bigger than Yutyrannus.
The Sinotyrannus charges and the mother Yutyrannus slashes it across the face. The Sinotyrannus screeches and bites the Yutyrannus' throat. The Yutyrannus shakes it off and clubs her opponant with her tail. The Sinotyrannus, who will from now on be called Scar, runs off. Patch will need to get used to such a dangerous world.

I have decided that this book will instead have many different stories following somewhat lesser-known dinosaurs. Before each story will be a page of imformation about the creature the story follows. This book will be called Age of the Dinosaurs.
The first story will be The Feathered Tyrant.

I will now be taking suggestions for more stories so feel free to either post suggestions in this thread or email them to me. I will select some of the best suggestions and put them in Age of the Dinosaurs. If you send me a suggestion please point out what you want the main creature to be. Remember, I am looking for somewhat lesser-known and obscure species. Please send in some ideas, I am sure I will end up with many cool stories. :)

I don't want to come off as rude, but Microraptor did not live in the Yixian formation, it lived in the Jiufotang formation, so it did not co exist with Sinosauropteryx, Biepiaosaurus and the other creatures you listed. Just something I noticed.

Thank you for pointing that out, so can you list some creatures that I can replace them with.
