Actually promo images of some of the creatures have been released today. Unfortunentaly, Ral's Phorusracos model is not being used for the terror bird, but it is still awesome. I'll stat with the terror bird. :)

Daemonosaurus

Albertosaurus (it looks like Gorgosaurus, but it is confirmed to be Albertosaurus)

Jurassic Flying Beetle

And here is the official website.

Also, should we change this thread to Primeval New World, because it isn't about the trailer anymore?

Jetoar

Uoo, Albertosaurus is very cool  :). I hope the new season will be better thant before season.
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

WTH is a 'Daemonosaurus' and why has it three arms? Is this some supposedly undiscovered species of prehistoric dinosaur or is it a future creature? The other animals looks grand, can't wait to see them in action! What happened to the Albertosaurus' left hand though?

Actually, Daemonosaurus is a real genus, a Triassic theropod. The third arm appears to be the result of a very strange Photoshop selection when taking the image out of this group shot:

A similar mistake would explain the poor tyrannosaur's hand.

ON the website, it is confirmed that the raptor is based on a Late-Cretaceous species, but never mentions Utahraptor. Yeah for feathers! Even though it isn't the most accurate, it is by far more accurate than the original series, and the most accurate raptor I've scene in a science fiction show with dinosaurs. This is the original raptors from the original series, there where several variations.

From Series 5 naked raptor (WWWHHHHYYYYYY!!!!??????)  :'(

From Series 2, 3 and 4. (Protofeathers, scale like feathers, WWWHHHHYYYY!?!?!?!?!) :'(

I know it's not confirmed as a Utahraptor, but have you seen it in the trailer? It's huge! Based on the size I think it must be either a Utahraptor or an Achillobatar. Also, about the original series' raptor, I do wish it had feathers, but I still think it's pretty good for a featherless raptor.

Actually, I checked for the synopsis for episode 1, and here is what it says.

"In the series premiere, a Pterandon brings death to the skies over Vancouver, while a Utahraptor threatens visitors to the city's beloved Stanley Park.

Patrx

Y'know, inaccurate though they are, I thought the rattling "scale-feathers" on the Series 2 raptors were a neat idea. Given the somewhat serpentine design of the model, it sort of gave it a rattlesnake-like feel. Nothing like a dromaeosaur, of course, but a really neat fictional creature and a fun departure from the JP style.

Thankfully! The show had me worried there for a second. As for not knowing Daemonosaurus, the imperfection is mine.

It's not like the series claims to be scientifically accurate or something. It's just a science fiction fantasy. If this was a Discovery channel documentary then your criticism would be valid, but it's not.

Well, if I may, I'd still call it valid criticism - I mean, there's nothing bad about wanting to see dinosaurs in a dinosaur show instead of old-fashioned pop-culture lizards. Besides, I think Yutyrannus does appreciate the fact that this isn't meant to be a documentary.

I gotta admit, while I like the look of scaly raptors just fine, I do think it's time they start fading out of the public consciousness. I mean, I'd be pretty put off if Primeval's Albertosaurus dragged its tail on the ground, for example. With any luck, palaeo-geeks of the next generation will have an (albeit appreciative) laugh at featherless raptors the same way most of us chuckle at trunked sauropod reconstructions  :))

Balaur

Some new news!
I'll post the pic later, unless someone beats me to it. But, Pachycephalosaaurus is finally making an appearence!  ;D

Balaur

Actually, this will be Pachycephalosaurus's third appearence, because you know, Dracorex, but first adult form of Pachy's on TV are appearing. Either way, EXCITED!!!!  ;D ;)

Remember, Primeval New World airs tomorrow in Canada at 10 pm! Tell us how it was for any Canadians who see it!  ;D

Balaur

Crap! It's airing right now and I can't watch it!!!!!  :'( Is anyone watching it? If so, how is it? Awwww!!!! The anticepation is literally killing me!!!!!! AAAAAWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!  :o :'( >:( :-[
