The "baby" (Wild Chompin') Carnotaurus Toro has been revealed now by Jurassic Outpost. Definitely along the lines of what I thought it would be (plus with the SC Toro continuing the theme from previous years with the Indominus rex and Blue).

Oh no, that is really cute. And I greatly prefer it over the Indominus and Blue.
that doesn't look cute, it looks creepy, like a pug

Creepy can be cute. But I don't find pugs cute, so this can't look like a pug.

Ikessauro

Does anyone know if the Amber collection Dilophosaurus has been retired? It's out of stock everywhere, except by the ones from eBay scalpers.

I can't find it for a reasonable price anywhere.

Carnoking

I haven't seen it anywhere myself. The good news is there's the 5 raptor repaints to choose from still!  :o

Faelrin

avatar_Ikessauro @Ikessauro I had to do a deep google search to find one for sale below the prices on ebay. Sadly it went out of stock there after I bought one by the next day. It was Collector's Cave or something. I had also been eyeballing them on the Dinosaur Park toy store but they sold out there too. I hope you can find one soon. It is a shame they have never restocked this one (from what I can tell).

Hold onto your butts (sorry, lol) because the Amber Collection Ray Arnold is coming soon, and got revealed today (along with a V2 of Dr. Ian Malcolm) from Collect Jurassic.

https://www.collectjurassic.com/022621-2/

So my thoughts are that it looks like Ray has a detachable arm because the joint is different from the other few human figures in the AC currently. The computer accessory is a great touch too. I guess the V2 Malcolm will be an easy pass for me since I have the first version already. If I had to guess these will probably have the clear stands like the Pteranodon and male TLW Velociraptor too.

Did... anything change on the Malcom? Walkie Talkie is a nice touch, but I think the cup of water is more iconic, so no doesn't look like anything essential.

Faelrin

avatar_Carnoking @Carnoking The Collect Jurassic article mentions modified articulation (particularly of the arms), and a modified paint application (hard to tell from the blurry pic), other then the new accessory.

Stuckasaurus (Dino Dad Reviews)

HHMMMMMM.....

jk, it's probably just an articulation point. But wouldn't that be cool? lol

Loon

I'm not a collector of the amber stuff, but my god, I hate that those old Mattel ankle joints still exist. They look so bad on Ray Arnold, but is it me, or does it look like Malcolm has ankle tilts? Hopefully, like Nedry, Arnold is shrunk down at some point. On a positive note, I love that Ray comes with that computer, so great.

terrorchicken

they actually painted chest hair on Malcolm...

Reuben03

idk if im the only one most excited for arnold's little 90's PC lollll

this old dawg ain't about to forget :')

Halichoeres

I'm not much of a JP collector, but I can definitely see the appeal of these two.

So Andy made a video about some possible new 2020 or 2021 figures:

Looks like a Chialingosaurus (yes another stegosaur), Masiakasaurus, Ouranosaurus, and CC playsets are on the way hopefully. Definitely have these on my wishlist to begin with in the meantime anyways. Some of the listings also appear to correspond with some of the images already revealed from Collect Jurassic, etc, so possibly a matter of time.

Appalachiosaurus

So I guess the leaked Kentrosaurus silhouette wasn't a Kentrosaurus, it was a Chialingosaurus. Who on Earth would have expected that?

Blade-of-the-Moon

I'm interested in the Ouranosaurus, we have so few of those.  You would think with a "sail" it would be pretty popular.

avatar_Appalachiosaurus @Appalachiosaurus I think they may be two different figures actually. On the french site the Kentrosaurus is listed on, its description hints that it is an electronic figure (like the Ceratosaurus, Allosaurus, etc we've already seen), where as the Chialingosaurus seems to be a part of the smaller new Fierce Force (newer version of Savage Strike?) assortment, alongside the Masiakasaurus, a new Sauropelta, and a new Gallimimus and Velociraptor. There's also leaks or rumors of an Iguanodon (as well as a Lythronax) coming, which is interesting considering that we may be getting an Ouranosaurus now as well. Hopefully this means their previous ornithopods sold enough to justify doing more. Considering Mattel's previous track record for fleshing out different dinosaur family trees, I certainly am not too surprised why, and two stegosaurs would greatly help address that particular lack of diversity previously this many years into the line now (edit: ditto with the iguanodontians).

Part of me secretly hopes the Kentrosaurus and Ouranosaurus will be based on those horrid "action figure concept" drawings I did a couple of years ago... I mean, that would technically be theft, but still...

Back to reality, it's always exciting to see Mattel do more obscure animals, even if they're not the best representations they could be. I like their style overall.

Same here, It's really weird how the last recent one was IIRC the CollectA (though I remember a larger, more rubber-y one but the company name slipped my mind).
If it's on the level of the other ornithopods this may be pretty good.
