Man, PNSO dominated this year. Can't say I'm surprised.

I wonder if that would have still been true if their releases hadn't been concentrated at the end of the year, making them more top-of-mind than they might otherwise have been.

I don't think PNSO's dominance is because they were released late in the year, I think it's simply because they are very good figures.  What I'm surprised about is BotM not making it into the top 10 at all again.  Their competition was much stronger this year than in 2018 though.  I think they will make it into the top 10 in the future eventually.

As some of you have already expressed, I'm glad that Doug's amazing Deinonychus won again (it also won in the PT magazine). Totally deserved it. We have been in desperate need for a good model of this dinosaur for ages, and thankfully it is now a reality.

I agree.  I hope there will be a BotM Deinonychus too!

I'm not trying to imply that PNSO didn't have strong offerings, but recency bias is a thing and could explain a few of their votes. Both things can be true.

If I were to vote now, instead of then, I might have gone for the BotM Diabloceratops, or the Mattel Postosuchus, both figures I own, and very much enjoy to this day, versus the W-Dragon Giraffatitan I went with back then, as although a great figure in its own right, it isn't one I own, or one on my wishlist. Otherwise my selection of votes remains the same.
