CityRaptor

Looks like something out of a movie...or maybe Dino Crisis.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

need4swede

Thanks!

I was inspired by the scene in JP3 with the raptor hiding behind the liquid reservoir.

Haha nice use of the cooling reservoir, I would've never known what it was if it weren't for the ram

Haha, thanks! My workstation generally has a very industrial look inside, so it gives it an almost 'factory' like appearance, which is what I was going for. I changed the memory color from white to the orange/red to give it some color alongside the model; worked out quite well, I think!

Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to seeing how your collection evolves as you dive back into the hobby.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

New Addition: 'Andrea' the Tyrannosaurus Rex
My favorite in the collection thus far

Shonisaurus

My congratulations on your acquisition. That resting tyrannosaurus from PNSO nicknamed Andrea is quite a new figure in toy collecting. There must be very few resting tyrannosaurs made by the dinosaur companies.

Halichoeres

Resting poses are a nice change of pace, although I wonder if kids think so.

Thank you, my friends! I completely agree. I wonder if Halichoeres is on to something, if the resting position just wouldn't be too popular among younger collectors. I suspect a lot of younger collectors hopped onboard as a result of JP's cinematic success; I know film and cartoons played a huge role in my own adoption of the hobby. But we are adults now, so I wonder what the ratio of adult collectors to adolescent collectors is currently at. I'm sure Jurassic World is bringing more fans, but something tells me figures like the ones sold by PNSO and the like are more suitable for the adult collector - hence testing the waters with some resting poses, maybe? I know there's a new Baryonyx figure coming out that has a both standing and resting figure option (not sure who makes it); but perhaps we're witnessing the rise of resting figures?

The 'Supplanter' Spinosaurus
By Nanmu

- Swede

Shonisaurus

My congratulations on your new acquisition, for me that spinosaurus from Nanmu Studio is a cult figure along with its other color version, what attracts me a lot about that spinosaurus is that it stands correctly and shifts ... my Nanmu tyrannosaurus one of them is not standing. I like balanced theropods.

Halichoeres

That Ceratosaurus has always tempted me, but it's just a bit large for my preferences. Always nice to see it on others' shelves regardless.
