I mean I'll take it, but I do hope we get things like the Corythosaurus, JPIII Ankylosaurus, the male JPIII raptor, and/or a proper buck T. rex which still doesn't have representation in the mainline, or could be done better (in the case of the buck). I'd also like see a more film accurate Pyroraptor, Moros, and also the Microceratus pair and Oviraptor from Dominion/prologue.

This must be "take some of the roughest sculpts we have and make HC versions" time, no?

I cannot fathom why there's never been a Corythosaurus in all these years, not even a Papo/Nanmu sneaky copy. I'll be first in line to get any version released. And while we're at it - Mattel should do a Mamenchisaurus in their "Big Ass Sauropod" line along with the Brachiosaurus, Apatosaurus and Dreadnoughtus. I imagine it would sell just as well as those.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Gwangi

I'm not too excited about the idea of the Hammond Collection straying from the main cast of dinosaurs this early in the game. They should really focus on the high profile stars of the franchise. At least the first movie is covered.

EmperorDinobot

So far, I feel this line is just...more of the same with new dinosaur species. Which is good, I guess, but it...I don't know. Seems a bit hasty. Maybe I am having a dinosaur figure overload at this moment.

Flaffy

I mean, I'll take it over an inevitable raptor repaint... But very odd choice to include this dinosaur in the Hammond Collection so early on.

your right. Any time I start to think what else do we need these two leap to mind.  The corythosaurus really should have been made already I cant fathom why not unless it's paint apps being costly?  Mamenchisaurus is the last sauropod we need, I think they can do it I just wonder if they have the references to do it right. not a  lot I've ever seen to work from.

I agree, though thinking about it we don't have a ton of different ones to work from until we get to the later Jurassic World films.  The Lost World is mostly repaints, Bull Rex, Baby Trike, Pachycephalosaurus, Compies? Stegosaurus.  I think the Pachy is supposed to be coming out too now?    JP3, of course we need a Spinosaurus. The Velociraptors ( if they don't fix those huge feet I'd probably pass on those and probably repaints to boot ).

I'm still holding out hope that we get novel figures one day, an entire line of figures from the first and second books would be great. With no film tie in though I don't know how well they would sell.

MLMjp

Even though I don't have plans to actively collect the Hammond Collection since I have to import them in order to get them, I do agree they should focus on film species that we actually saw alive and moving before branching out on others.

I would love an HC Stegosaurus with a proper, lifted tail and I'm excited for a Pachycephalosaurus too. If I thought there might be a Bull T. rex I probably wouldn't have my eye on the HC Rexy. And even though I'm not into raptor repaints I would probably buy a Lost World tiger striped raptor, but I would likely skip on any JP3 raptors. You've also got from JP3 the Corythosaurus, Pteranodon, and Ankylosaurus. And then there are JW animals. Lots of stuff to explore before moving onto "model dinosaurs from Lockwood's mansion". I would like figures of the dinosaurs from the novels too but I'm not holding my breath.

terrorchicken

I just want a HC FK carnotaurus b4 the line goes kaput. And maybe a 2nd T-rex(the buck I guess), and this time please fix the weird leg proportion issues.

Pachyrhinosaurus

I feel like there are better species that Mattel could have chosen, though I'll admit the concavenator looks well-executed. If we get non-movie dinosaurs from the Hammond Collection, I'd like to see species from JP:TG and the original park map.

Yes, I absolutely want a HC Carnotaurus.

Same here, though I hope they base it off the original JWFK design; as opposed to the scarred "Toro" or broken horn JWD "Demon Carno".
(or alternatively, Mattel can easily milk a base Carnotaurus sculpt for all 3 variants.)

I feel like it would probably be the Fallen Kingdom Carno, or maybe it is just wishful thinking. Still, I would probably buy whatever Carno they decided to make. Since you mention it though, if they do an Ankylosaurus I hope it is the JP3 one and not Bumpy or the JW Ankylo.

Faelrin

avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy I'd buy all 3 tbh. I love Carnotaurus, and I like all three of those colorations. Honestly I'd prioritize the FK orange one and then the Dominion one after that.

avatar_Gwangi @Gwangi While I would be excited if they did Bumpy, we still don't have a proper JPIII Ankylosaurus so I would most prefer to prioritize that.

avatar_Giganotosaurus @Giganotosaurus That would be a bummer. I mean unless the Metriacanthosaurus is resculpted and based on the JW viral website artwork. By Pachy do you mean Pachycephalosaurus? I definitely would prefer if they did a new sculpt for HC and also fix the stability that the original Legacy one suffered from. It's also one on my wishlist as it was from TLW (and had a minor cameo in JW). However Irritator has no business in a line that should be focused on film canon animals. Metriacanthosaurus and Concavenator can slide since the former was on the first film's park brochure prop, and had an embryo vial. It also got designed for that JW viral site which was then integrated into both JWE games. Concavenator was in one of those Lockwood Manor diorama's in FK. Granted as with all potential leaks I take all this info with a grain of salt until things are officially confirmed.

avatar_triceratops83 @triceratops83 avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon Mamenchisaurus only has some concept art from "Crash" McCreery, and I believe a head bust maquette from SWS. The ILM model to my knowledge was just a stretched out version of the Brachiosaurus model from the first film.

I'll do some digging in a bit after getting back to my laptop.

Pachyrhinosaurus

I believe the Mamenchisaurus in the film was actually based on Seismosaurus (now diplocdocus). The head sculpt looks very  diplodocine:

I'm not sure exactly where I remember the name Seismosaurus from. It may have been on a piece of concept art.

You are true, heck the script for the lost world mentioned seismosaurus and the model stan winston scultped is based in Mark Hallet one.

avatar_Pachyrhinosaurus @Pachyrhinosaurus Well you certainly beat me to it. Here's a twitter post from Jurassic Outpost sharing that pic and another:

Further down in the comments SWS posted an image of the sculpt before it was painted:

Not 100% sure if this will load for anyone since it's from Wikia, but here's the concept art:

Also this twitter thread is a gold mine of info regarding McCreery's artwork for Jurassic Park: https://twitter.com/davidgkowalski/status/1519045798071259137

avatar_SpartanSquat @RolandEden Seems the stuff in the twitter thread I linked above covers that. Looks like you are right.

There was a statue or sculpture made for the traveling exhibit too back in 97'.

Concept from a TLW promo :

There was a promo released for Camp Cretaceous that also showed a Mamenchisaur
