I'm pleased to feature "Daring to Dig" at Dino Dad Reviews! This book shines some long overdue spotlight on 12 important paleontologists who all happen to be of the female persuasion. I've seen this reviewed before at the Mary Anning's Revenge blog, and have been meaning to get around to it ever since.
Check it out at Dino Dad Reviews!

There's actually a bit of a trend of books about female paleontologists right now.
I've also reviewed "The Dinosaur Expert"...

...and "Fossil Huntress", the story of renowned paleoanthropologist Mary Leakey.

There's also She Found Fossils by Eugenia Gold: https://www.amazon.com/Found-Fossils-Maria-Eugenia-Leone/dp/1981516549

I finally got around to reviewing She Found Fossils and WOW is it packed with paleontologists! So many cool people I'd never heard of! Most of the living ones have Twitter accounts, which I linked to in the review, so y'all can follow them as well!

I just found out there's a "Daring to Dig" playlist on the PRI's YouTube channel! It's hosted by the illustrator, Alana McGillis, and goes into a little more detail for some of the women featured in the book.
I played it for my boys, and they immediately ran to grab the book and turn it to the appropriate page while watching each video!  ;D

PRI has just released a new children's book, illustrated by Alana McGillis, who did the illustrations for "Daring To Dig"!
Into The Ordovician, as one might guess, is a children's introduction to the Ordovician Period. It was also released in conjuction with a new member of PRI's "Paleozoic Pals" line, a cute little Orthoceras plushie!

The "Daring to Dig" team has now released a sequel to "Into the Ordovician" called "Silurian Journey", and they indicated to me that they intend to eventually round out the whole Paleozoic, so I guess it's time to make a new thread so this one doesn't get to far off track, since it's kinda the "books about female paleontologists thread" now.

Here's the new thread: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=10374.0
