Stuckasaurus (Dino Dad Reviews)

The Paleontological Research Institution (or PRI), which is associated with the Museum of the Earth in Ithica, New York has started a series of children's books about the Paleozoic, done in a cartoony style by Alana McGillis, best known for illustrating the well-received book Daring to Dig.

They started with Into the Ordovician, which I talked about on my blog Dino Dad Reviews.

I'm not sure if "Into the Ordovician" was originally planned as part of a Paleozoic series (one would think they would've started with the Cambrian if they did), but with the release of the sequel Silurian Journey, author Jon Hendricks has informed me they tend to fully round out the entire era eventually. You can read my reviews of these two books thru the links I've provided here, and I'll post about any others as they get released.

I ordered the Silurian book with the previous plushies. Still having some troubles I think with shipping last I heard.

I think the next one is focusing on the Carboniferous and Diplocaulus, from their emails they do, but it has been awhile since it was sent out.

I really do like that the books seem to correspond with the plush designs as well. I'll continue to support them as they can make them.

These look great! Nice to see a little light shined on the Paleozoic.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.
