Hmm, are the teeth more accurate than PNSO's? The tail and the teeth were the main thing that turned me off PNSO's krono, so I think i'll pick this up if so.

Lynx

hold the phone, why does this actually look GOOD?

Lynx

It has a dynamic pose, good detail, and isn't really shrink-wrapped.
That's a welcome surprise.

Just when I'm out, they pull me back in!

Love the smatterings of barnacles covering it, that's a rather unique touch.

I need to see it from more angles but keeping my limited knowledge of marine reptiles in mind, it leaves a decent first impression. I still like PNSO's more though. If I have any complaint about this Papo one it's that I don't like the orientation of the head.

Nope, 2022 release according to Mini Zoo https://www.minizoo.com.au/papo-kronosaurus/

Yeah, I just saw that. avatar_DinoToyForum @dinotoyforum, could you please merge this thread with the Papo: New for 2022 thread?

Obviously it shall be released for Christmas.
This page also still lists the Mosasaurus (scroll down a bit):

Are those barnacles along the front shoulder and flipper?  :o

One friend in one server friend in discord found this fella.

Lynx

It was discussed earlier in another thread, I think is actually amazing, probably one of Papos best in the last 3 (maybe 4) years.

Oh man that is cool. Do we get to uncross-out Kronosaurus now?

Palaeontologica

First time something has happened that's noteworthy enough to drag me from my hiatus. I can't help but suspect the same sculptor who did the Mosasaurus was involved. While both aren't quite right anatomically they're surprisingly decent.

I really do like this one. A bright spot in a dull year.

Fembrogon

So it exists after all!
I kind of like it. I think looks stylized in a way closer to their older models, where it's not too exaggerated but still getting that extra little "cool" factor to the look. I hope we get more photos soon.

Pliosaurking

That's actually the first figure from Papo that I not only really like but will also be picking up since 2019!

Faelrin

Not bad, although the posture of the flippers bugs me, but I guess it was done for stability reasons. This and the Mosasaurus are definitely the highlights of their minimal releases this year, and honestly I think both of these are a massive step up from their previous marine reptiles (the Plesiosaurus and Tylosaurus).

Hmmm, an actually decent Papo. I wonder if this means we'll get the giant squid, too.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.
