Careful! If the Cenozoic has taught us anything, it's that once you let a rodent in, they completely take over.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Awesome model indeed! It dwarfs the Mamenchisaurus easily! Wow! 8)

And that's at 1/60 to 1/70 ish, give or take, I'm guesstimating, depending on which specimen you take. A 1/35 to 1/40 would have been unmanageable, likely. I'll use it as a subadult, like the Papo Apatosaurus.

Quote from: suspsy on January 15, 2023, 04:43:24 AMMy first review of 2023, the new CollectA Ruyangosaurus!

Thanks for the review! Any comparison pics with Safari's Patagotitan by any chance?

suspsy

Afraid I don't own the Patagotitan. Or any of the 2022 Safari toys yet. :(

But based on the images I've seen, the Ruyangosaurus totally dwarfs it.

Not that we need another T.rex review, but here's a curious one anyway:

avatar_Fembrogon @Fembrogon , I appreciated your exploration of the none too distinct boundary between 'inspired' figures and outright rip- offs. Agreed, the border is often far from clear. It's quite easy to ascend a high horse and pontificate, but clearly there are gray areas.

Technically this isn't a new post on the Dinosaur Toy Blog, but it is a new review, as you'll see, so I think I'm justified sharing it here: https://dinotoyblog.com/plesiosaur-dinocrats/

Fembrogon

Hey, close enough! Thanks for sharing, that was an enjoyable read.

In the photo with the two other metal rexes, what is the one on the right? I know the left one is the Ral Partha from the 90s.

Just a quick note to say I added a couple more pictures to the review to show the stamps variants and expanded the text slightly. I also noticed that while the 'Dinocrats' version is stamped "plesiosaur", the 'Toyway' version is stamped "Plesiosaurus", so I updated the title accordingly.

Another oldies review featuring MPC Diatryma (Gastornis):
