For those who don't know, I am a JWE2 modder! So far I have a few mods published on nexus but only one of them works on the latest version. However, I'm getting close to releasing my biggest mod yet, and I thought I'd share it along with any other future mods I make here!
The mod is a South American species pack, and will contain 4 species as well as several alternate skins for each species made by my good friend GameVideosForLife!

For anyone wondering, my previous mod was a Postosuchus. (This one was actually an edited dimetrodon lol.)

DefinitelyNOTDilo

While I wait for the rest of the alt skins to be made for the pack, I started working on my next species, Eotyrannus! This one will come solo, and the model is edited from sinosauropteryx (tho it will be put on the Proceratosaurus rig.)

If anyone has any suggestions for the accuracy or general appearance of this model, or for any future species I should do, please let me know! I'll just say rn however that mammals are not my strong suit.

Halichoeres

Impressive to get a reasonable Postosuchus from a Dimetrodon!
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

avatar_DefinitelyNOTDilo @DefinitelyNOTDilo Didn't realize you were the one behind that beautiful Postosuchus. I've also contributed to some JWE mods, though for the first game, for example. Haven't done anything with the second yet. Just don't have the energy these days (I barely can manage my Skyrim mods, or things here, or the DTC site as it is). As far as Eotyrannus goes, I'd probably recommend checking out the most recent paper on it, if you haven't already. Within it are updated skeletal reconstructions, and a better look at the material. Granted I'm also fully aware there are limitations due to the rigs, and animations that would need worked with.

As far as suggestions go, would a half feathered Kulindadromeus (rigged to Dryosaurus or Homalocephale) be at all possible? The only others I can think of is Diabloceratops, and Yi (rigged to Jeholopterus for flight and insect feeder?).

Thanks for the references! Yi may be beyond my abilities, but the other two are totally possible!

Also regarding rig limitations, rig editing is a magical thing lol, so proportions aren't much of a worry.

avatar_DefinitelyNOTDilo @DefinitelyNOTDilo I forgot that was possible, lol. Been a long time since I played JWE2 or used mods for it. I'll probably come back to it after the game is updated once again.

Decided to attempt an Ichthyovenator, model is based on Acrocanthosaurus lol.

It boggles my mind how you took that rough not-Acrocanthosaurus skull, and changed it into a spinosaurid.

It definitely wasn't easy lol. The skull for this guy in particular was based on Irritator, as the latest studies seem to resolve it as ichthyovenator's closest cousin, at least the closest with a preserved skull.

Ichthyovenator has officially been ported to the Cryolophosaurus rig! There are some issues with the hands that need to be sorted out, but otherwise it's ready for texturing! Btw if anyone has any suggestions for a texture pls lmk, I'm kinda struggling for inspiration lol.

Maybe like the CollectA or Mattel figures? Or maybe like some kind of bird from the same country it was discovered in?

Edit: Another one is the PNSO "Sinopliosaurus", which has a nice coloration as well.

All great ideas!

WIP Ichthyovenator skin, based primarily on a Chinese Pond Heron, thoughts?
