I see @Halichoeres already beat me to the punch here. Pics below for anyone that might be interested.

I've never heard of Bandringa before, and I hope it reaches the goal to clear it, because of course I want it now. Apparently it is from the Mazon Creek formation, same as the famous Tully Monster, or Tullimonstrum. Some beautifully preserved fossils too. I'll share a pic of one below the pics of the plushies.

Based on the comparison with this fossil specimen at least, the signature rostrum feels a bit too short? I get that these are stylised plushes, but it seems odd to me that the plush has surprisingly accurate body proportions but not emphasise the species's defining trait: the rostrum that makes up around half it's total length.

I'm wondering if we could suggest to make the rostrum longer and flatter, Paleozoic Pals seems open to feedback so long as it's done early on. As seen in their edits to the Peytoia and inclusion of Astrapis in the line.



EDIT: I think what they did was reference the skeletal, but failed to account for soft tissue extension of the rostrum.

So I found another strange dinosaur plush while online window shopping. It's apparently branded as being from Animal Planet but that's about all I can find. I found it on both mercari and ebay. The biggest thing I want to find out is what dinosaur it's supposed to be. It looks like it could be a small ornithopod like Thescelosaurus or maybe Leaellynasaura, but it could also be something like Coelophysis. The ebay listing calls it a velociraptor but I guarantee that's not what it is. Any ideas?

Have been dragging my feet since 2015 on getting these toys. But as I generally don't prioritise soft toys, I therefore don't go through the hassle of importing them from overseas... But if EverythingDinosaur stocked them locally, I might just have to catch up on my Paleozoic Pals wishlist!

Ah, I tend to have a "soft" side for plushies at times, so it's fun to see the next round of Paleozoic Pals on Kickstarter, thank you for linking it here!

I LOVE that dark red Diplocaulus, so I just pledged for the "Eyes on Science" pack. There goes another hundred bucks on the stack! I think we will most likely unlock the Bandringa plushie at this point!

Honestly, I think it is a bit pedantic to ask that they lengthen the rostrum on the Bandringa; I think the "point" comes across just fine in plushie form. Not like the designer didn't know what the animal looks like. To anyone at Paleozoic Pals who is reading: I wouldn't feel like you have to go back to the drawing board just for the whim of one or two people online. It's fine.

So I've discovered this channel on YouTube called Smilo the Sabertooth, doing reviews of Wild Republic Plush toys, as well as other content and figured I'd share what I found that may be interesting to folks here on the forum.

There's a line by Wild Republic called Artist Collection and here are the prehistoric animals in the line;

I'm surprised to see a lesser known species such as Yutyrannus in the line too. Really like the colors on this one.

So yes, I think these are perhaps the best looking plush toys from Wild Republic. What do you think of this line from Wild Republic?

Thanks for sharing. Really cool to see Yutyrannus, Paraceratherium, and all those others get plushies. I might have to hunt for some of these later, particularly that fluffy Yutyrannus. Edit: Well the Yutyrannus is up on Amazon, Everything Dinosaur, and Wild Republic's own website. Probably the others as well.

Never really noticed before, but yes, Sacabambaspis is sorta squint-and-you-see-it shaped like a bomb.

I think it's been discontinued but the AMNH had a massive Patagotitan plush to promote the titanosaur exhibit. It's only labeled as titanosaur because I think they started selling this before the specimen got named but, obv it's meant to be Patagotitan



Last time I saw them selling it was back in 2021, past few times I've been they're all gone and the website says they're out of stock too which is a darn shame. I love this guy he's one of my favorite things in my collection and is so comfy to snuggle with. I can post some comparison pics of it if anyone wants, this guy is almost as big as the Mattel sauropods.
