Just for fun, and since none of them came close to coming in the top 10 of the year poll, I've decided to make a Mattel specific poll. As we know, their yearly output is vast, so I thought it would be fun to see which ones come out on top. This poll doesn't require a video or anything if no one wants to be bothered, it's just for fun. We'll start by generating a short list. Suggest what you want to see in the poll down in the comments.

If you need a reference I suggest this thread, an invaluable resource maintained by avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin.

Here are my picks...

Elasmosaurus (Gigantic Tracker)
Mamenchisaurus (Legacy Collection)
Nothosaurus (Danger Pack)
Concavenator (Hammond Collection)
Pachycephalosaurus (Hammond Collection)
Scutosaurus ('93 Classic Track & Explore Vehicle Set)
Tyrannosaurus rex ('93 Classic Electronic Real Feel)
Herrerasaurus (Strike Attack)
Carnotaurus (Hammond Collection)
Brachiosaurus (Hammond Collection)

I was thinking of doing something like this too while working on the top 10 of 2023 poll, lol. Glad I'm not the only one to think so.

I'm gonna go with:

Borealopelta
Herrerasaurus
Elasmosaurus (still behind on it)
Nothosaurus
Habitat Defender Triceratops
HC Ankylosaurus
HC Brachiosaurus
HC Carnotaurus (edit: behind on this one too)
HC Concavenator
HC Corythosaurus (still behind on it)

Honorable mentions:
Gigantspinosaurus
Kronosaurus
Mamenchisaurus
Film Accurate Mattel JW and JP toys list (incl. extended canon species, etc):

Borealopelta and Kronosaurus would be honorable mentions for me. Great list!

Faelrin

I just realized I forgot to mention I'm still behind on the HC Carnotaurus as well. I have the rest though.

This thread isn't really taking off. Might just be you and me doing this one avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin . lol

BlueKrono

I would vote for
Kronosaurus
Piatnitzkysaurus
Dakosaurus
Elasmosaurus
Nigersaurus
Irritator
Prestosuchus
Edaphosaurus
Hammond Concavenator
Hammond Irritator

Carnoking

Only issue here is that mine would be pretty HC dominant, I must say.

1. HC Carnotaurus
2. HC Brachiosaurus
3. HC Irritator
4. HC Pachycephhlosaurus
5. Habitat Defender Triceratops
6. HC Metri
7. HC Concavenator
8. HC Corythosaurus
9. Indominus rex
10. Mamenchisaurus

Quiet thread!

Here's my contributions...

1: HC Carnotaurus
2: HC Metriacanthosaurus
3: HC Brachiosaurus
4: HC Irritator
5: HC Corythosaurus
6: '93 CLassic T. rex
7: '93 Classic Baby Triceratops
8: Habitat Defender Triceratops
9: Pyroraptor Redeco
10: Mamenchisaurus

Frankly, I hate to just heap praise on the Hammond Collection, but the stuff coming from that end of the line is just... its great, period. lol. Honorable mentions in my eyes are the baby Rexx, the Concavenator, and the Mercedes Benz in the legacy collection - I know the last one can't be placed on this list because it ain't a dinosaur.

Blade-of-the-Moon

There was so much new and awesome stuff last year it's extremely hard to decide. Would be easier to list what I skipped lol

avatar_Gwangi @Gwangi Now you've gotten some support. I knew we weren't the only two here.

Now that I think of it, I'll try tagging some folks I know collect this stuff.

Had to look up which ones came out this year. I'm surprised I had as many as I do. Some of these I definitely only grabbed because they were marked down, but here's a list anyway.

Nothosaurus
Elasmosaurus
Kronosaurus
Track and Attack Indoraptor
Austroraptor
Tupandactylus
Dino Trackers Stegosaurus

Even with still buying action figures, this makes these and the BOTM small Psittacosaurus my only dinosaurs from the last year. Feel free to consider that a glowing endorsement of all them minus the Dino Trackers Stegosaurus.

avatar_MLMjp @MLMjp I'm so sorry I forgot you earlier. I had a feeling there was more folks, but I was struggling to recall earlier. My brain has been like mush as of late. I'm glad you caught wind of this though.

Oh don't be sorry, I was just messing with you >:D

Great turnout so far! Happy to see participation going up!

Eatmycar

I want to say that I really wish I could give the Ankylosaurus the props it deserves. Frankly the Jurassic Park and World designs for Anky are, for a lack of better words, disgusting looking in my eyes. They're barely Ankylosaurus on a good day.

But the toy? Oh, damn, it's good, really good to be honest. I love the tail articulation and, the SIZE! It's just a big chunk of meaty plastic.

I suppose my complaint could be applied to  many Jurassic designs, but it's just a shame that the only other option is BoTM which can leave a bit desired in terms of articulation and doesn't even have Anky on the radar.

I was never a fan of the Jurassic Park/World Ankylosaurus either, which is why I ultimately decided not to get the HC figure. It probably deserves to be in the top ten but it wouldn't get my vote.

I started this thread on the 22nd. I guess I'll give it until the end of the month so more people can chime in, then I'll make the poll.

Gwangi

I completely forgot about this thread for an entire month! The poll is ready.

Faelrin

Nice to see all four of the current voters voted for one figure in particular. Not unsurprising considering how well it did in the main 2023 poll (for a Mattel JW figure anyways).
