He was 87.00 during last week's Prime Days on Amazon.

Do monster girls count? That has, admittedly, been something that has taken over my collecting for the last good while. Sadly very few applicable action figures exist, so I've been branching into dolls bit by bit. Very excited for a few things that are upcoming though. Are monstergirls an interest here? I have a lot that I still need to build and/or set up shelves for if folks would be interested in seeing them.

I've been pretty silent here in regards to figures for a long time, since I scaled back (static) animals and dinosaurs to refocus on action figures (including Cyberzoic, to be fair) I haven't had a lot of them to post. But I was taking photos of these, remembered this thread had werewolves, and thought they might be vaguely fitting.

Please don't mind my (very) messy shelves. I have been gradually organizing and condensing them and opening up a new set of dolls felt like the perfect thing to give me a little push. I have the space for everything, I just don't have the furniture...

These are Penny's Box Antu Nine Coloured Deer. They came in a case set of six blindboxes but I only had room to effectively display five of them, and I even ended up getting the secret (top left)! I may not be fond of secrets (unless they are guaranteed one per case, which this was not) but I'm not about to stick my nose up when it's so pretty. They have more articulation than I expected, balance well, and came with a ton of little accessory jewellery. I didn't end up using all of it, was fun to mix and match!

Hmm those are interesting. Sort of a MLP/ human mashup?  My niece is into the Monster High dolls, I do have a few female monsters, aside from the Bride of Frankenstein and some Gargoyles/Gremlins i do have a couple of the horror Bishoujo figures by Kotobukiya.

I don't know anything about MLP, but they don't seem to be directly inspired? This manufacturer has previously done mermaids and dragons, I think this was moreso their choice for doing a centaur line in their semi-chibi style. I've also never owned any Monster High, but having seen them in person a few times these do seem to be relatively similar in terms of size and materials, perhaps about 3/4 the height.

Some of those Kotobukiya figures are really fun, we get them in at work from time to time. Not monsters but the Transformers and especially the Witcher one had me genuinely tempted.

One I'm particularly excited for that's coming out "soon" (no date I am aware of announced yet) is the Cang Toys Longji Dragon.

I kitbashed two Monster High dolls to get this sweet mohawked dude. Then he looked lonely, so I got him a Nessie girlfriend.

There are some new ones in development :

Love the idea of cryptids, particularly Nessie. sweet. :)

Another wolf man of sorts up on BBTS. Not familiar with the brand but I saw they previously offered some lizard men and at least one dino or dragon man that kind of resembled the V rex.

Expected early 2025.

The armor this guy has on sort of reminds me of the Skyrim thieves guild gear. I also find it personally amusing he has an eye patch on the same eye I have astigmatism with, which may as well be patched as my brain doesn't make use of it much (I primarily see out of my dominant eye). The crossbow with the wolf insignia or whatever also looks quite nice.

Detail looks nice, though it's more of a Lon Chaney or Hammer type werewolf, not preferred variety to collect though I do love the films.

I received a email from BBTS regarding the huge delay in The Crypt: Great Wolves figures. They had some production issues and are now re-slated for October.

This whole Brutal Realm thing seems...I guess I'll be charitable and say "ambitious". Perhaps overly so. For a company with no history of making toys to suddenly be soliciting dozens of figures is quite surprising. I would say if you do choose to roll the dice on these getting made, I would order through BBTS, since they won't actually charge you until something actually ships.

I'm reminded of the Josh Smith Werewolf line con, BBTS listed his items where there was nothing to show but his glued together 3D prints, these all seem like digital mockups. They eventually took them all down and canceled it all.  I've never heard of it before but maybe it's new? IDK ,I would certainly order from BBTS as like you said you have some protection there.

Was that the one kickstarter that scammed people? I think I remember coming across those, thinking those were neat, and then finding out it was all a scam, and the figures were never produced.

If they don't even have a prototype to show off (digital even like the recent Howling werewolf pre-order), and merely concept renders, then it feels way too early to be getting pre-orders up. Edit: Oh and it appears they changed their image from the one that was there on the day it went up on BBTS.

That reminds me, the Howling werewolf prototype was shown as SDCC, but I'm like way behind on adding the pics of it here.

Blade-of-the-Moon

It was one of them. Josh Smith has run several similar cons.

It's the only figure of a Howling werewolf so I preordered it, I think it's scheduled for November release?

Faelrin

avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon Yeah seems to be November still.

Also did some quick research, and the Brutal Realms figures are from a recent successfully funded kickstarter.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brutalrealm/brutal-realm-1-12-highly-articulated-action-figure-toyline/description

Most appear to have physical prototypes, with some digital sculpts. It's the beast men that have AI images put up, but they make it clear they are placeholders while the concept art and sculpts are being done. They are going to use the Lionlord body as well (which explains the images of the body sculpt on the various pre-orders for the beast men that have those AI images that don't quite match up with those images).

The panther does have some concept art done, and the monkey or ape has a digital head sculpt done. So I guess we'll have to wait and see how the other two turn out once sculpted.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brutalrealm/brutal-realm-1-12-highly-articulated-action-figure-toyline/posts/4193587

Though I still think they probably should have held off on getting pre-orders up for those figures when they don't have prototypes (physical or digital) to go off of yet.

I'm getting a little tired of preorders that have months to years of wait time. It's alot to keep up with.
