Quote from: Carnoking on September 26, 2024, 07:30:24 PMThose wide hips, that dug in, aggressive stance with the wide open mouth, those horizontal stripes, everything else, I am loving this ankylosaurus figure!

I still hold PNSO's in high regard and I think I still have the Safari one squirreled away somewhere but this could be the new Ankylosaurus for me, especially if it's in scale with their other Hell Creek denizens!

It's in 1:35 scale (as per their FB comment/reply), so the same as the others. If I recall correctly, they said all of their figures are the same scale, except the steppe mammoth (I think?) and the sauropods, due to shipping. I'm pretty sure they had that written on their site somewhere, but can't find it anymore.  :)

I did see their comment, however I'm wary to take it at face value given how many other figures are advertised in 1:35 scale but prove to be slightly smaller or larger once all is said and done. Of course, Eofauna has been pretty consistent with their advertised scales if memory serves, and I'm by no means a stickler for scale but even so, it would be really fun to see this alongside their trike and rex in the appropriate size. Looking forward to seeing some comparison pics!

You're right, they advertised the Steppe Mammoth and the sauropods at 1/40. All the rest at 1/35.

More pics of the Mastodon. Didn't realise they had lower tusks!

Dusty Wren

Oh, I like the Mastadon a lot! Those tusks are beautifully painted, too.
Check out my customs thread!

Likewise. Very different vibe from the Safari version. I feel both reconstructions are plausible given M. americanum's extensive range throughout North America, along with seasonal changes. I'm happy to include both in my proboscidean collection. Safari's can easily represent a northern population in its winter coat, while Eofauna can represent a southern population with its sparser coat.

Man, that Ankylosaurus is nice. Part of me wishes they'd chosen a genus I didn't already have a good version of, but hard to be mad when it's this stunning.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

This Ankylosaurus will be my first Eofauna buy. They've all been great, but this is the first one that overlaps with my wanted species, despite wanting to get something from this brand. I have to see more pics though to decide whether it will replace my beloved Safari Ankylosaurus. Looks stunning though!
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

They've released two more photos of the ankylosaurus on their Facebook and Instagram.  :D

:)  Why don't we show them?  (the first post should be updated, too)

Ankylosaurus is my favorite herbivore, so excited for this figure! I really love the tilted head with open mouth. The coloration is very detailed as well.

Elengassen

The tilted head reminds me of PNSO's... homage perhaps?
One day we will know the truth about Spinosaurus... but not today.

So excited to finally purchase an Eofauna figure. The other photos look amazing. Still gonna have to compare this with the Safari figure, but a definite purchase nonetheless.

I love that ankylosaurus, but I definitely think only these two figures will come out in 2025, there will not be a third.

Ok, am I the only idiot that JUST saw Eofauna's website has a wish-list questionnaire? lol, filled that out in an instant.

It's here. It's hidden underneath the available species list on the left on the webpage if you select the "Figures" tab.  :)

Thanks! Filled it out. As usual, I wrote an essay for non-dinosaur non-mammal animals I want  O:-)
