Are these actually coming out at McDonald's? I don't see them on the release schedule for the next two years.

Season 2's trailer is here! This looks pretty good IMO, can't wait for the Sucho scenes

Could be a some sort of tropical mainland....wasn't there something about Africa?

Anyways, here is an official upload of the trailer, in case the other gets deleted:

And Germany does not get the Chaos Theory Happy Meal figures, it seems...oh, well.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

New season was pretty good! I'd give it a solid 8/10, lots of fun dino action and the sucho and majungasaurus were awesome!

Only watched the first two episodes for now. Discussion below the spoiler. Also lists of species (in A-Z order), at least what I remember:

Episode 1:

Spoiler
Baryonyx
Gallimimus
Majungasaurus
Parasaurolophus

Highlight is obviously the Majungasaurus scene. I like the sound design on this one. Still wish the body was more sausage like, but the colors are nice. Still need to pick up the figure of it (and numerous others I'm behind on). Surprise, surprise, Ben already discovered Brooklyn is still alive. Wonder how long it will take him to inform the rest of the crew about that.

I noticed on the credits there was a like an in memory of thing, but I missed the name. Anyone catch that?

Episode 2:

Spoiler
Gallimimus
Stegosaurus
Suchomimus

Guess this episode that explains the set with Ben, the Suchomimus, and the Gallimimus, which must be Geba, due to the coloration (and being a named dino). I like the new cast as well. Glad to have more Suchomimus screen time too. Love the coloration on that yellow and red one.

Also speaking of that set, hope it wasn't canceled. Although worst case at least the other Suchomimus is coming next year (if not later this year).

Edit: Some thoughts on ep 3 and 4:

Episode 3:

Spoiler
Allosaurus
Atrociraptor (Ghost, Red, Tiger, more?)
Compsognathus (I forgot the name)

So we finally get to see what happened to Brooklyn from her perspective during the events of the first season (and prior, what set things in motion). Can't relate to her condition, but I think they handled it well. Looking forward to seeing where her search leads her. I'm guessing the compy in the set with Yaz is the one in this episode. Or was there one like this in the prior season I already forgot about?

Episode 4:

Spoiler
Gallimimus (Geba)
Kentrosaurus
Nasutoceratops
Pachyrhinosaurus
Parasaurolophus
Stegosaurus
Stygimoloch

Kind of a mix of the previous two episodes. A lot of building up to something, but otherwise not much going on. Interesting to see Malta mentioned (in that one scene), but wasn't expecting Dubai to pop up (though I have no doubts there are billionaires there that could easily buy live dinosaurs up if they wanted too).

SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON FINALE
Spoiler
I think my favorite thing this season was Red, specifically Red mimicking the snapping sound to have the blind Baryonyx turn on Dr. Parr. It felt like something from the Crichton books, and also showing they aren't dumb brutes *cough cough Dominion*

I think the Suchomimus Vs. Hippo fight was cool. It reminded me of a scene from the Fire and Water Primeval novel! I also loved the scene of Atrociraptor Red clicking to mimic Dr. Sarr's snaps. It was creepy and made the raptrors scary again.

I genuinely think Camp Cretaceous and especially Chaos Theory are the best additions to the Jurassic franchise since the Lost World.

That was a fantastic bit of writing. I had a genuine shocked moment. Sorta like when the Indominus started communicating to the raptors.

Overall I must say I quite liked this season.

Joliezac

I just finished it and think that Chaos Theory is a big improvement from Camp Cretaceous. So many tense moments and amazing writing. I think this season was my favorite so far. I'm finding myself enjoying this series more than the Jurassic World movies.

Spoiler
I loved the Suchomimus scenes and Majungasuaurus. But my favorite was seeing the red atrociraptor communicate with the Baryonx and turn it against the Doctor. I feel like I need to watch Fallen Kingdom and Dominion again to really understand how it all ties together. Even though I'm not a fan of those movies and only saw them once in the theater.

Just finished up this season, and I think my criticisms are pretty much the same as before.

The pacing in this show, story-wise, is glacial. While I love dinosaur shenanigans as much as the next person on this forum, if you remove scenes of running from dinosaurs, very little actually happens on this show to advance the story per season.

Spoiler
Brooklynn's backstory was far more fleshed out this season than the main group, whose entire storyline over 10 episodes boiled down to "Go on a boat to Senegal, then go on another boat to a lab, then meet Brooklyn".

While I'm glad they spent more time filling in what Brooklynn's been up to, I also don't really like what they're doing to her character. She makes frustrating decisions to abandon her friends and has done things that, by this point, I think would be hard to forgive even if it's for "the greater good". But I'm not really sure what her motivations even are, as the show continues to be extremely vague about the machinations of all these shadowy groups she's involved with. Are we supposed to like or not like the DLN? It's never really explained why Brooklynn is "infiltrating" them, or how it's supposed to get her closer to The Broker...it just does, somehow.

She's continually exposed to a world that is clearly beyond her capabilities but believes she can single-handedly dismantle the dino selling cabal from within, with ZERO help from anyone else?

It was also annoying to see character beats continue to get dragged out, like Ben not telling the others about Brooklynn until the final episode, when he discovers she's still alive in the first episode. And some things are furstratingly kicked into the next season once again, like whatever is going on with Kenji that everyone just continues to dance around.

I find myself wanting to yell at these characters to just stop being so flighty and evasive solely for plot purposes. This is 10 episodes that could be tightened to a 2 hour movie if they just stopped dragging everything out so much.

Anyway, end rant.

Spoiler
I think Kenji is experiencing something like survivor's guilt? He keeps throwing himself into danger as if hoping he will die. He's taking Brooklyn's death and his dad's extremely hard.

Yeah that's probably it, but with the way the show is dragging it out, they're building it up like he's been replaced by an alien or something. He started acting like this in season 1, and now we've gone through all of season 2 without the characters confronting him on it, so at the earliest it will be handled in season 3.

Last season did the same thing with Yaz's extreme trauma. She spent most of the first season avoiding her own girlfriend's attempts to contact her, in some isolation compound away from dinosaurs, because she experienced extreme PTSD from the experiences of Camp Cretaceous.

Fast forward to season 2 and suddenly that plot point, that Yaz had such extreme PTSD that she isolated herself not only from dinosaurs but from her friends and girlfriend as well, is completely gone. Despite it being heavily built up in season 1 and the fact that it SHOULD be a fundamental aspect of her character.

I'm worried they're going to do the same with Kenji. Drag out this issue over the course of more than one season, avoid any of the other characters addressing it directly, and then when they do, just shrugging and having him go back to the old Kenji.

On one level, it was interesting in season 1 that these characters were all damaged in their own way from their experiences in Camp Cretaceous. But season 2 just continued the idea that if they drag things out and avoid talking to each other, they can stretch the plot over 10 grueling episodes. It's like these characters don't even like each other anymore, the way they avoid addressing things directly with each other.

It's just annoying that these characters are given traits that the show drags out and harps on, only to sweep it under the rug once it actually gets to the point that the story deals with it. It's literally just there to be a dangling thread.

It makes for a frustrating watch.
