I am happy to see that this is the second ceratopsian from Haolonggood (after Triceratops) that got the manus right. The size seems to be in the right ballpark. The sculpt and pose are very nice.

The Utahs look very nice to me! Think I go with the red one...

Gray day here so colors are less vibrant then in hand, but should give a sense of this model. This is the special purple version. That said, photos with a phone camera does not do it justice regarding the detail, anatomy with heft and weight Haolonggood has managed to sculpt into this figure.

I remember seeing patagotitan's bones at the museum and was surprised seeing just how wide the skeleton was, especially at the hips and this figure does such points of the anatomy justice - the large titanosaurs where "wide load" in a sense I do not think people realize until they see a accurate model like this or skeleton for themselves, very different from say diplodocus and giraffatitan two much more famous and more slender animals ingrained in pop culture.

1:35 scale African elephant and dude for scale.

Head size

Great Pictures! The Argentino grow on me  ;D

Did anyone outside China receive the green Argentinosaurus or at least receive a shipping notification with tracking number for this one?

It's a resin model from Dafei studios in China, as far a I know it is completely sold out - it was a limited release. Maybe it pops up on ebay/aliexpress now and then. Good elephant figures are surprisingly hard to come by in 1:35.

De Clay studio has very nice resin models of both African and Asian elephants in 1:35 scale. They are expensive but very nice and exceptionally well painted from what I have seen.

I think this is the Collecta African Bush Elephant ?
https://animaltoyforum.com/blog/african-bush-elephant-wildlife-by-collecta/

I got myself a copy as well.
One of the best elephant on the market in my opinion.

I'm going to buy the PNSO Giraffe as well

Edit: Oh ok my bad, but the Collecta is a very good one if you can't afford a resin model or don't want to.

Paleo Flo

That's a surprise, that there a not that much of 1:35 elephants out there. Maybe the PNSO one and the PNSO giraffe are in 1:35?
And the CollectA one is also in 1:35?

Those Utahceratops are gorgeous, the greenish one especially catches my eye.

Collecta is 1:35 for sure, it's right between the medium size and reccord of the biggest specimen witnessed for the specie.

Turkeysaurus

I loved pics Argentinosaurus vs elephant. 2D scale doesn't give you this view.

I can only imagine how it would feel standing near to an Argentinosaurus in real life. I had similar experience with an elephant. Much different experience than watching it from far or from TV knowing it suppose to be large at 3.5 m tall & 5 tons etc.

Same here had the same experience with a lion behind a glass wall, which is a much smaller animal, inside a transparent tunnel.
It felt huge.
So can't imagine bigger animals.

(not sure zoo are a great thing though, don't blame me for visiting one, it was a long time ago, I was young, and the animals had a lot of space).

Mr. Elephant and Huayangosaurus are awesome!

Meh those pics of the green variant are still really bad.
Bad light, and no close up shots of the head...

Quote from: Samrukia on November 15, 2024, 06:58:02 PMT @thomasw100 I don't think it has anything to do with any manufacturing order. because i pre-ordered 001 and haven't got any updates about shipping after paying the fee (which i also had to remind them)

apparently it was shipped  :) i messaged them in FB asking for updates

Wait. So, they shipped yours without a shipping notification? I hope that means mine's on it's way as well...

Darko2300

I just emailed Lana Time, and literally 30 seconds later, I had a shipping notification email.  :)) I'm not sure if that was fate, or someone just forgot to click an update box...  ::)  (I'll take it though!)
