Thanks for the help there, Flaffy. I've edited the post following the instructions and they're showing up for me now on PC but not on my phone. Are they showing up for everyone else?

Not showing up for me. But your previous imgur hosted ones work.

I have just bought an Argentinosaurus! I'm wasn't sure about it, but it was probably my most desired dinosaur figure this year. As I have always said, large dinosaurs must have large figures, and this is the largest I can probably get.
I realised that if you use the Black Friday coupons from Aliexpress, you can get a 30€ discount and then just at the Checkout I got another 62€ more discount from the Aliexpress vendor as "adjustment price" (to help you pay taxes here). Last time I only had to pay 16€ taxes in another article so that's a nice discount. I have bought it in My Online Toy Store as some other figures. In Model Toy Center it is the same final price (289€ shipping included), but I decided to go for the first because someone has said that they were still giving the preorder gifts. Let's keep fingers crossed.

PD: Ah I ordered the "blue" one, the HLG129. I liked the more coloured others too but in the place where I plan to display it (the top of a cabinet at my head's height) I will be looking to the underside of the neck, so if I got the coloured ones I will be looking to very light plain colours. The 129 is darker so less striking at that view. It will be in my bedroom so I prefer a darker colour.

avatar_Duna @Duna 129 to me best represents an ancient titanic beast. The white wash gives a nice weathered effect. I imagine any sauropod reaching the magnitude of a 35m long behemoth would have lived for many many years.

avatar_DavidJamesArmsby @DavidJamesArmsby Thanks for the additional images of 001! I can see them on my phone as well. I do wish it retained the purple hues and blending of the prototype, but it's undeniable that the final product is also a work of art. Very complex colour scheme with many subtleties that doesn't show well on camera/screen I imagine.

Oh that's a very nice point of view. You have remind me about the ancient giant tortoises (I have a 13 year old Russian tortoise myself and how age reflects in their scales and how colors fade out with the dirt).

I have just received my other HLG figures ... I was struggling between getting some new species but I couldn't resist to get these because they are one of the best and I needed them. The Camarasaurus is one of my favourite sauropods and I already had the Carnegie and the new Safari, but these new two, the PNSO and the HLG, are too cool to resist. From the PNSO I like the head (what an amazing head, beak, nasal tissue and teeth) and the bulk, but the paint job and the price is better in the HLG. From the HLG I liked the green version that reminds me a lot of the Walking With Dinosaurs Toyway European iguanodon and it is quite dark, so not striking. The red tail adds a very nice contrast (like many reptiles today as iguanas). The price is also good (and more with the 11.11 discount). I also liked that it can be displayed looking to the left, but not the PNSO whose head is very turned to the right and on that shelf, all of my sauropods are marching to the lef. I have not ruled out the possibility to get the PNSO version too to display with the Argentinosaurus in another room, but I should sleep on it, I think.

The other one is the Triceratops although I have a lot of triceratops figures. My Eofauna is fighting with Kiss, the tyrannosaurus because they look so good together. The colours are more brightened up that they are in the pictures, they look nice and earthy.

And no other company has made that bulk in the base of the horns. Horns had to have a very large base and a very thick cover. The eye and the horn are so perfect in this figure. There are some small flaws too but the figure has presence and it's very HEAVY. I was quite surprised when I picked it up!

Just look at this amazing eye-horn duo ...

Dacentrurus is a new species for me but I was interested because it is the only Spanish stegosaurid (and now more important since Miragaia is "gone") and I saw real fossil footprints of it. The figure is very nice and the paint scheme is darker than I thought (in the pictures looks lighter but it's no so light).

I skipped the Camarasaurus becausei have and love the Safari version, but that photo has me tempted...

Thanks for the pics thomasw100 !

I find the green has the most pleasing body color, but I really don't know about the head...
I find it a bit bland compare to the others ? It's very mono-color ?
Maybe that is the lightning here ?
Still don't know which one to get...

There is always a difference in how our eyes see colors compared to how cameras pick them up. For my eyes, the body color of the green variant appears much more greenish than what the pictures show. So in case you go for the green expect it to be more green than what you see in pictures.

You know I got both the blue (HLG-129) and the green (HLG-131). Initially I was thinking about the brown instead of the blue, but was concerned that parts of the body color would be too pale and almost white. It seems that this is not really the case, but still the brown is in places too bright for my taste. The pattern on the dorsal side is quite amazing though.

The blue was not my first choice, because I was concerned that it could be as blue as some other Haolonggood sauropods like the blue Alamosaurus or Mamenchisaurus. But this is not the case. It is a nice blue-gray which together with a lot of subtle dry brushing gives this variant a dirty and aged look that fits such a giant very well.

The promotional images of the green would also show a paint design that would show a similar aged and somewhat dirty look. But this is actually not the case for the final product. It looks much more clean than the blue variant in my view.

Therefore, I am thinking of sending it at some point to Dinosaur Models Artworks for a repaint to reproduce this dirty and aged look that the green had in the initial promotional images. If this goes forward, I would also try to get the seams at the head better concealed. This has been much better done for the blue one.

I don't know if it's because the lighting but eyes look different colors too.

By the way, My Online Toy Store has confirmed they have still Huayangosaurus and the posters to send with the Argentinosaurus. ^-^

Today the Haolonggood Utahceratops, the brown version, has arrived.

Even if I risk to fall victim to some cyber lynch mob now, I have to say that in terms of manufacturing quality this is a huge disappointment, and the worst out of all Haolonggood figures that were released this year.

This has nothing to do with the quality of the sculpt and the paint design. The design team has done a great job, but the people who run the molding and painting machines have not.

The head and frill are good, but the body shows all the issues that have plagued some of the earlier Haolonggood releases.

In places, the surface texture of major parts of the body looks glassy and like molten and the surface is not near as crisp as it could be based on the sculpt. You clearly see that in other places like the head, the surface is as crisp and well defined as it should be.

Furthermore, in the brighter parts of the body the paint has been so thinly applied if applied at all that the naked plastic shines through.

The paint issues can be fixed by a repaint, but the molding issues cannot. It appears like they had a quite poor temperature control during the molding process.

Maybe they had all the high quality machines running with production of the Argentinosaurus and they used an old bad machine for producing the Utahceratops. This is the only way how I could explain this.

I really hope that the next regular release will see return to the kind of quality we have been getting for most of this year. The manufacturing quality of this Haolonggood Utahceratops is far worse than anything we got from PNSO in the last three years.

It makes me sad to see this because I hold Haolonggood in high esteem in general, but I cannot overlook this.

Sim

I think you got a bad unit.  Mine doesn't have any of the flaws you mentioned and I haven't seen anyone else have a problem with theirs.  It might be similar to the Haolonggood Kosmoceratops I received being sticky at first, nobody else had that problem with theirs.

Pinbacker

My Utahceratops is great...no issues whatsoever

Chasmosaurus

The same goes for me. I have the blue one and I don't notice any defects.
