Quote from: Duna on December 19, 2024, 06:13:06 PMI have just received my Sandy majungasaurus and it is a BEAUTY. Like most HLG they look much better in hand, the mouth is perfect, the teeth looked a bit "meh" in the first pictures but in hand I must say I have nothing wrong with them. There is A LOT of effort in such tiny detail. The eye looks so lifelike, the pose looks stable although not all toes touch the ground.

And the colours ... believe me, they look like nothing in the pictures, it is not even really so light or so yellow, the brown is darker, all the blue parts aren't striking at all and all the colours are very nicely transitioned on the body, from brown to yellow and yellow to white.
In this picture the brown looks more like it is in reality.

I am very happy with this little guy. Yes, it is a tiny figure, about the size of the dilophosaurus.

How well is the underside of the belly covered by paint? Is the color saturation good in this area?

I would say it is much better covered than in some other figures. The colour base of the figure is a light cream and you only see that on the underside of the arms. The belly is painted light blue on the tail, and light blue over a yellow base on the belly (2 layers here over the PVC base colour). And the underside of the neck and pelvis have a third layer of pink red.

Im not sure if the Muslims/Turks believe it but for us how it works like if someone compliments you, you need to be careful as they might have "put nazar onto you". Then you have someone put drops of heat water or salt on your head.
I always found it as superstitious, however.

Either way, these are some halal Styracosaurus,  mashallah 👌

Amulet is usually  attached to new things from new born babies to cars, houses etc. to protect them from complimentary people with jealous eyes.

Obviously it's super stitious, as far as i know it comes from earlier times than islam but somehow blend in with newer religion.

Regardless "Halal Styracosaurus" sounds right.

Edited by Admin to remove image of dinosaur being slaughtered. C:-)

I must admit i'm not a fan of haolonggood's signature colored tail tip anymore. It looks unnatural when you have bunch of dinosaurs from same brand.

Maybe they should try different colored heads or other body parts for a change.

My brown variant arrived.:))  I don't have it in my hands but these are day time indoor photos with plenty of lights coming from out.

Although it looks rare, the fact it is that the longest the tail, the most probable is that it was strikingly coloured. We have a lot of extant examples today with the iguanas and monitor lizards. Monitors can have the most amazing colours and patterns on the tail and ... yes, blue. Long tails are an important trait in communication and even defense.

Green is the way to go it seems.

I tend to see Styracosaurus as one of the more "flashy" ceratopsians so I'm still disappointed with the color choices, at the very least make them brighter or more saturated...

Paleofiguras posted pictures of the Production of Dilophosaurus 1:20 resin model, apparently to be displayed at the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair. Also what I believe could be a new catalogue. Would love a sneak peek of what is in the catalogue.

Quote from: vampiredesign on December 18, 2024, 09:27:28 AM;D Don't worry, the exhibition will also announce some of next year's new products soon. We are currently optimizing and upgrading our production line. In the future, we will strive to further optimize our price range so that everyone can easily purchase new products. Yes, many things need to be done, and we need to work harder to make the product better.

Hi I wonder if the argentinosaurus has a internal skeleton on strengthening material inside? Due to its weight it will sag over time if only pvc.

Thanks for your great figures!

That prominent nasal horn reminds me of the one on the old Battat Styracosaurus and that paint work has, to my eyes, an almost PNSOish look to it, with its subdued tones (compared to previous HLG offerings). Not that these are bad things, of course.

Riddle about a potentially new figure on the Haolonggood fan account:

"A hint of the new dinosaur: A mystery hidden in a deep canyon, buried in history. Elongated shadow, I was a stealthy hunter, with a singular characteristic. From distant lands, my name honors a city."

The hype is real haha. I can't wait to see what their 2025 catalogue reveals... I hope it's another year of awesome hits.

Edit: Sounds like a carnivore... I'm gonna hazard a wild guess: Qianzhousaurus!

Good try, but unfortunately Alberta is the province's name , not a city.
