Still waiting for them to start releasing scientifically-accurate figures as they hinted to.

I never really took that seriously, as far as figures they would be competing with HLG and PNSO. Or for the Smart series they would be competing with David Silva.  Better to do your own thing and not compete. ( I don't seem them as competing with Mattel due to the quality )

Blade-of-the-Moon

Feels like the Indoraptor or Scorpious Rex.

Wow it's like they read my mind! I just asked about this figure in the other thread. Can't wait to order this one. The Haolonggood Brachiosaurus will have to wait... I've been looking forward to this figure since they teased the single claw.

Theri is looking pretty good. I still can't figure how that blood effect works really.  The piece on the Theri arm side is probably an alternate arm, but the piece on the other side of existing figures has me curious. Normally it's done with magnets preinstalled into the figure.

That's a remarkable image of the Therizinosaurus 'at work', but in actuality, I wonder if those penetrating claws would be able to resist being ripped out of the forefingers by the convulsing theropod?

Very possible, would depend on just how well they are attached I guess? In the film the Giga died almost immediately and just slid off the claws. Makes me wonder if that Giga was as old as Rexy or very close. Maybe even sick?

I asked Nanmu on FB, they said the pieces are held on with double sided tape and were bonus gifts for the first orders.  Not sure how long that would last but I have seen figures from China that use wall/picture tack as well to hold removable pieces on.

I was wondering because I'd read that the fingernails weren't robustly attached enough to be slashing weapons, so as stabbing knives, well, could that possibly work without disarticulating?

Hmm I'm not sure? Bear in mind this is a JW Theri. So the proof we're looking for is right there in the film. This one can slash and stab quite effectively.

Good point;  yes, the context here is everything.

I'm not in love with this Therizino neither the one by Dino Dream..

Is it the sculpt or color you don't like?  I'm feeling it's less detailed than their other sculpts, but again it's feathered and not scaled so this is sort of out of their normal approach. The softer colors on the feathers could be the issue?

I actually think my HC Mattel Theri is better on all points but it's not in scale with my other pieces.

I really like this model but personally would have liked a more neutral pose. So I can have it walking through the forest. But dinosaurs in fighting poses always seem to sell well, even though I didn't care for the end fight in Dominion.

Carnoking

I greatly prefer the pose of the Dino Dream offering but the sculpt and paint seem sharper on Nanmu's

both!
detailing and colors reminds me more a toy than an pricey statue

Me too! I think Ill order one on a neutral pose with my sculptor friend

Blade-of-the-Moon

I need to see more pics of the Nanmu one.  I don't think there was an animatronic for the Theri so all they have to work from is the CG renders.  That's pretty limiting.  DD has official files and Nanmu doesn't.  That's a lot to consider.
