I noticed we do not have a particular thread for this yet, so I created this one. Hopefully this way I can trace other jewels I don´t even know of. :)

The ones below I own. Which other museum or theme park exclusives with figures and / or models do you know?

  • Wolfgang Bonhage - Museum Korbach: Procynosuchus delaharpeae (Bullyland)
  • Regionalmuseum Wolfhager Land: Protochirotherium wolfhagensis (Bullyland)
  • Staatliches Naturhistorisches Museum Braunschweig: Spinophorosaurus nigerensis (Bullyland)
  • Museum am Löwentor, Stuttgart: Plateosaurus engelhardti (Bullyland, small, quadruped version)
  • Dinosaur Park, White Post, VA: Moschops (there are others in this line)
  • Bristol Museum & Art Gallery:  Pliosaurus carpenteri
  • Saurierpark Kleinwelka: Brachiosaurus (big tan version, small grey version), Iguanodon (grey version, yellow version), Stegosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Diplodocus, Trachodon, Deinosuchus
  • Naturhistorisches Museum, Basel (Switzerland): Tsintaosaurus spinorhinus
  • Australian Age Of Dinosaurs Museum : Australovenator wintonensis

There is a Pliosaurus funkei figure exclusive to the Natural History Museum Oslo. I'm sure it's been discussed here before somewhere...

avatar_DinoToyForum @DinoToyForum If I'm remembering right was it the one called Dorothy? Or was it Dolores? Something like that?

I know there's that one yellow CollectA Deluxe Triceratops that was offered only at a museum I think (looks like it was a good idea that I left notes on the figure's entry on the DTC site. Was a Melbourne Museum exclusive). Kaiyodo also has a bunch of Capsule figures that were limited time museum and/or event exclusives. Things like the Ichthyostega and Yi from what I recall. Or last year's Patagotitan set, or the Zuul one the year before.

I think Dorothy is the name of the pliosaur in Bristol that Libraraptor already mentioned. That seems to ring a bell.

avatar_DinoToyForum @DinoToyForum Ah okay thanks. Couldn't remember the name or the museum quite right.

I have the Pliosaurus model from the Bristol Museum signed by the artist, Tone Hitchcock and a Kleinwelka Brachiosaurus procured by a friend. Still looking for the Diplodocus.

Thanks for your answers so far!

L @Lio99  THank you for that list - unfortunately most of the links are dead, at least as far as my PC is concerned...

Ah yes, @ DinoToyForum, that Oslo Pliosaur, of course!

And of course there is the NHM Titanosaur I forgot to mention - I have that one too in the meantime :)

Is there a photo of this somewhere? Google is failing me.

I don't think they were exclusive. I bought all of them from retailers.

More like, figures made in association with.

This one does. The one I'm really on the fence on is the Marx Hunting Party Brontosaurus. I'd have to inspect that one up close to make my decision.

Yeah, that is correct. To my knowledge, they weren´t sold exclusively in Stuttgart like Bullyland Procynosuchus and Protochirotherium were in Korbach and Wolfhagen.

Oh yeah, one of the best museum exclusives I know of is the Primeval Predators kit from the Royal Ontario Museum: https://dinotoyblog.com/primeval-predators-kit-royal-ontario-museum/

I am not aware that they've ever been sold anywhere but their gift shop.
